bat news gais... instraco only have 2 HD668b left.. and i bought them both for my friends who requested from melaka .. and i have to turn down 3 .. coz i supposed to buy 5 .. issit because of this forum these headphones are selling like mad

bro iamyuanwu i doubt different canare cables have diff sound coz the core inside i find is the same.. just that l4e6s has 4 cores and l2t2s has 2 cores.. the koss recable is PCwork's trade secret lol.. if ppl know the the cable and experiment till it sounds the same as his product.. how can he cari makan

i have 2 superlux here.. and a bunch of canare l4e6s and also a few different connectors .. but both of them aren't mine so i can't test them yet and give a review .. but im going back melaka tomorrow by then i can test the cables + heaphone hehehehe

what i meant was not for ppl to DIY but for ppl who actually offer the same service as PCwork and yet have the same kind of sound and quality(maybe better).. wouldnt that be bad for PCwork, it will be unfair also since PCwork spent lots of time experimenting different cables to get this final product,and for someone to just snap the effort just like that...
so i doubt information of those cable will be obtained easily tho if you insist you can try matching with all the cables in jalan pasar/music equipment and accessories shops but in order to do that you'll need to get one of PCwork's koss re-cable first

i guess i will leave the impressions to hitman since this is still not burned in yet thus we wont call this a review yet... but all i can say that this is one poisonous can.. not just the price but the capability as well.. im serious XD
*edit* potential too.. especially with mods which me and hitman gonna do some in the coming future by really giving this fella some steriods

err.. unfortunately its 668b hahaha....... i guess its due to a proper DAC and amp :/ i tested at the shop also i was like lol.. and when i test it again back here i was amazed
with the foam intact i felt that its very veiled and the sticker cause a rattling sound... i persuaded hitman to take em off, now with both of them removed and the now exposed driver .. totally clear lol
now its still in the burn in.. gonna let it ready then only start with crazy mods.. gonna try tame the bass a first the mids and highs are already good enough already

also jazzy.. the other shop i assume is also intsraco coz there's 2 shops named instraco

get some canare cable and some jacks(instraco sells them too).. the 668b can change cable easily

yup.. you should try that , it'll be more balanced but take note about the cables split cables tangles easily.. or i suggest putting the cable across the headband instead of having split wires (it was my intention to do that)
im darn tempted to try out the bluetack, foam and lastly some sponge mod; i also have a pair of phillips velour pads which should fit onto the superlux snugly.. really wanna how it will sound like with these
unfortunately i lost my chance to mod that pair, i doubt i can try to do any mods on the HD668b coz i have assignments to handle and the headphone is not mine to begin with ..

so i am looking forward for bro yuanwu's mod maybe bring it to jaben during a gathering

i manage to pick up some really unique cables... its pure copper solid core cables scavenged from a telephone line lol.. not the one indoor but the one on telephone posts (dont ask me where i find them )

very tempted to use them and make a cable for the HD668b hahahahha

yea its pretty fragile.. but there's a very hard and solid steel wire sleeved together with the copper which i doubt the cable can bend at all (its meant for outdoor usage after all hahahahah)
but i guess its worth the try for the sake of trying since its free

you mean the superlux IEM? yes that shop does bring in some which i saw on the shelves

about the same as the headphones if im not mistaken hahahha .. i dont know which series already.. but i got one audiophile friend who tested it and said that there's a particular model is outstanding and the rest is blergh
