Hi,
I got a quotation for new downlights wiring = RM60 and downlight installation (Includes cutting a hole at the plaster ceiling) = RM10.
My question is : Eg. My Living room.
I have 2 lighting points wiring already given by the developer and will need another 2 more lighting points. The the existing lighting point will have to be repositioned.
The electrician told me that he'll connect wiring to the existing points to make it longer so that it can reach the spot where I want it to be.
The price for that repositioning (Adding longer wires) is RM30.
I'm wondering is that how other electrician charge? The job is just adding additional wires to make it longer.
I find that a bit expensive.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! ask him use what wire? you find cheaper quotation mean cheaper material... ask for JAYA wire... when fire surge, you house might be on fire

He was mentioning something which plugs in into the existing wire. A good one not like some others using normal wires. So just wondering is that the price? U get poorer material when u want cheap. U get good material when u pay more. All contractors play by the material quality.
