umm..1k+ more than the Canon 500d. but i still prefer to go for the body alone and get a better len. but rm5k+ just for a complete set of slr camera is a bit pricey for amateur photographer like me.. btw, can u pm me ur hp no as i plan to go Malacca for photo session by early next year. that time maybe need u to show me around the nice place to capture historical photos

But you gotta understand, D90 is a level higher than 500D. Well, its up to you, me and my gang are always on the dark side, which is the opposing side of Canon.

CAmera is bout preference..
If u like this camera, then use it lo..
I dun see y u need a reli good camera unless u r reli good camera men..

He could be a C fan~ i would advise you~ go to the shop and try each models and get the feel of your own~ i love the solid feel of the D90~ especially its dual dial which works like a semi-pro and it comes handy~

I handled it once n i like it quite a lot..
But prob is, no $$

hahahahaha~ as we always say~ even the entry level~ u pay more for the 1000D but u get way less than Nikon and Sony which is cheaper~

oic.. umm.. maybe i should to the camera shops and "test shoot" with the nikon d5000 before decide which camera to buy..btw, canon is offering a 3 years warranty till the end of year... i think the nikon d5000 price should be around rm2.9k..much cheaper than the C500d
