yup. they look very cool. the specs say that they have 3.5mm jacks, so mp3 shouldn't be a problem. I think people will kill them if they made a headset that cannot be used for mp3 players laugh.gif
As for the 4xb right.. the ones i saw online had a steelseries logo on the cup. How come these ones don't have? hmm.gif
<--see my display pic.

Definitely go for the Siberia.

The 4xb and 5xb if you noticed are just re-badged 4H and 5H redesigned to function natively with the Xbox.

The Siberia is actually made more for music as well while the H series has been optimized for gaming.

I see.
I've had the chance to test out my friend's SiberiaV1. The audio is pretty good, but I don't think I can judge it based on a few minutes of listening. Is V2 significantly better than V1? Price difference a lot.
3H is killing my ears. SO TIGHT sweat.gif

Well I have both, I definitely think V2 is more comfortable. Sound quality is slightly better than the V1 as well. I feel it's richer and has a more distinct sound due to the 50mm sound drivers? Well it's not audiophile quality but it definitely feels great to wear.
*

I see. I guess that justifies the higher price. Basically, it's an improved version of the Siberia. Are u interested in selling off one of them? PM me and we maybe can work out a price.. biggrin.gif

3H tight meh~ sweat.gif  Piranha hurts even more~  whistling.gif  doh.gif

Never tried Piranha.. but 3H squashes my ears cos it's ON my ears and not AROUND them.

siberia v2 if more to whats fixed from the v1 flaws, like better earcups and things, mayb got abit sound improvement , most likey it has.  thumbup.gif
*

v1 flaws? ohh. so v2 more bass? cos i noticed that v1 has a very average, passable bass only.

QUOTE(selferino @ Jul 29 2010, 09:35 PM)
may i ask, do u wear specs?
*

while gaming, yes.

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Jul 30 2010, 08:21 AM)
Siberia lacking in bass compare to other gaming audio products.
*

v1 or v2? According to the others, v2 has improved, so maybe the bass will be ok. Not audophile, of course, but one of the better "regular" all-round headsets.

thanks for all the replies. will research more before spending the RM300+/-.
you all know right, how it sucks when you regret an expensive purchase. you get this sinking feeling in the stomach.

lol.. Many of us are also Razer/SS/Microsoft/Logitech user. Very few blind fanboys i think.

With RM200, you can only afford the Kinzu or maybe a rare Ikari Optical. If you up the price, you can get the Ikari Laser or the Xai.

If you want to stick within budget, the most logical one would be the Kinzu, which is very solid yet very cheap. Make sure you decide whether you want OEM or retail version.

It looks very plain, but good performance and surprisingly comfortable.

-Kinzu
Retail is about RM145-165
OEM is about RM100-125

Retail is the mouse in the box. you get the sticker, cool box, blabla.
OEM is just the mouse without the retail box (it comes in bubble-wrap).

OEM is usually purchased by cybercafes who want, let's say, 100 Kinzus.
What would they do with 100 steelseries boxes.... laugh.gif

If you ask me, I think they're the same, unless you're a collector.
I may be wrong, though.

-Ikari Optical is about RM205
-Ikari Laser about RM295
-Xai is about... RM400? cant remember.

hahaha.. what la. the three of us chatting in Razer and SS thread.
Same people diff conversation lol.

If I would to choose a SS mouse, I'd go with Kinzu (if on low budget) and Xai (if i have the cash). I tried my friend's Ikari and didn't like it.

But my currently equipped is Imperator on Qck Mass.
Swapped back from Goliathus and managed to win 4 SquadBattles in a row yesterday. heheheheheee

Good luck on your choice, mel. smile.gif
