QUOTE(Everdying @ May 28 2010, 07:43 PM) Siberia v2 may be abit lacking in bass...but then again i dont understand headsets that have too much bass. yeap brosince when does having too much bass dictate whether a set is good or not? afterall clarity should be more important than having too much bass that may also muffle sounds that are gaming centric as well as music... gamers nid clarity...thats y 5hv2's bass is nothing bass is for music + most of us consumers prefer multimedia headset dont argue abt steelseries headset lack of bass.. its because we aimed at gamer and not audiophile users QUOTE(TechnoG @ May 28 2010, 08:15 PM) the adjustable side. i got both siberia and piranha» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « unlike the piranha, can't shift the ear cuppies around. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « but Siberia really don't know much about it tho.. piranha earmuff is like a pivette..so its comfy to wear for extended period siberia is not that good...large ear will feel pain after long hour of use.. this is due to their cushioning is too darn thin but i like the v2 in term of sound quality and comfort! + it isolate sound very good and it definitely feel solidly built than v1 WTH!? 1st time heard siberia can rotate Zzz This post has been edited by H3LLKEEPER: May 28 2010, 10:09 PM |

@victor2212, I'm using the SS sound card. IMO, the sound card actually is meant for those people that goes to CC or LAN party often and they want to have the same sound wherever they go.
For me, I lazy wanna find and plug those 2 jacks into the CPU. Just plug the USB.. If you ask about the sound quality, it doesn't really make much difference for me. Of course, different people has different opinions on it. So some might said it's worth and vice versa. |

I'm pretty sure the only benefit the soundcard gives is the virtual 7.1 surround sound.

Asus Xonar U1 is a decent choice for the more mobile gamer. But truth be told, I rather go without the Siberia sound card.

QUOTE(victor2212 @ Jun 1 2010, 11:16 AM) that wiki should be re-worded abit.icemat and steelpad were under the same parent company, soft trading. then later all the name change and merger happened. cos i guess they realised it was pointless selling the same mats / headsets under both brands. |
