divide Mbps by 8 to become MBps
divide Mbps by 1024 to become Kbps
1 bytes= 8 bits

3.6Mbps means can download at max 439.453125 KB/s
the speed from telco is Mbps, and most people got tricked by it biggrin.gif

3.6Mbps / 8 = 450KB/s...

notice the b/B makes a difference...

b = bits and B = byte...

Added on December 6, 2009, 9:39 pmmaking some good progress with GPU folding... laugh.gif

u dun need to let it run 24/7...

for me i would switch f at night also...

Run 24/7 will stress out the Thinkpad? Cuz that lappie is my dad's office one tongue.gif So i'm not so concerned about it's life span and such. So might be able to leave it running. At least that's what i did with my antique lappie which died a long time ago.

which really beats me, since the TDP of a Pentium M is lower than Core 2...

my conclusion is that Compaq skipped on cooling...
