 Using HDMI output on my graphic connect to, my non HDMI input LCD. Any benefit?

dvi and hdmi, they are electrically compatible so they can be interconnected, but hdmi has audio and remote-control features that dvi doesn't have

you have Samsung 2233 SW LCD monitor with DVI
you have graphics card with HDMI
yes they can be interconnected with whatever cable or converter you like, no ill-effect will occur on your screen
if you are playing game, then D-sub VGA is the best, no lag
