QUOTE(albnok @ Nov 22 2009, 12:39 AM) littleway: Oops I meant AF assist light. HDR works for night shooting as well huh? never tried beforev1rtual: The right side is underexposed; try 2 exposures and merge them. i should have taken 1 in raw..huh!! regret!!! any suggestion how should i capture people with the background of the building with proper expose of the person and also the background building? tried using cobra @ 60 degree with the white thing opened, with fill in flash function..but it still give me a long exposure |

QUOTE(ieR @ Nov 22 2009, 01:52 PM) there is built in function in cs4. thanks, gonna tried it soon File>automate>merge to HDR it's quite diff from cs2, it requires untouch exif, because it will gain info from there to create the HDR in 32bit. it will not overburn it like those HDR software(which to me is ugly) after it complete creating it, pls set image>mode>8bit/channel to send it back to normal jpeg color range, else u will see wierd color on ur lcd/monitor when i do image>mode>8bit/channel it asks to get gamma and exposure, what do i do? just click ok? QUOTE(albnok @ Nov 22 2009, 11:20 PM) RawTherapee 2.4.1 crashing in Windows? Try this. so if im to use a flash, should i meter on the person or the background?http://www.rawtherapee.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1593 v1rtual: Yes you will need a longer shutter speed. You can make it a bit shorter with high ISO and brighter apertures. because if i meter on the person wouldnt the background which has light become overexposed? another thing, what flash mode should be used? fill in flash? QUOTE(hkhk @ Nov 29 2009, 11:37 AM) Never happen as u never has hotpixel, or never has pixel mapping occured on your A350 ? is there any alternative way to remove hot pixel other than bringing it to sony? i have used long exposure quite a lot these days..Not many ppl will always shoot very long exposure time, thus this might not be an issue for them. I send my camera to SONY twice, first time when the kit lens jam, I ask them to remove my hot pixel, and yes.. the sensor is clean from hotpixel. After near to 1 year, before the warranty end, I send to SONY the 2nd time. I ask them to check on hotpixel again... The engineer told me that.. if not very critical, better don do it, as this might increase the noise when shooting long shutter.. I was like "huh, oh.. OKay..." my warranty for body finished by march 2010, i wont be back to malaysia till then.. never sent for service since i bought my cam |

For those still confuse whether to get the old legend minolta vs sony 50mm
I just found something comparing the Minolta AF 50 mm f/1.7 versus Sony DT 50 mm f/1.8 SAM As it was done in the case of previous duels we can sum it up awarding two points for a win in a given test category and one point for a draw. What’s interesting the older Minolta construction scored better, winning the duel with the result of 9:7. Its good performance is due to better workmanship, lower vignetting and distortion and a bit faster, more accurate focusing mechanism. The Sony lens prevailed when it came to chromatic aberration correction and work against bright light. Also in the most important category – the image quality in the frame centre and at edges – we can announce the minimal victory of the Sony.
