I am second that .. smile.gif .. out of almost 8k of shutter count in my a700, 7.7k are using JPEG .. i have no reason why should i spend time on RAW pp .. biggrin.gif ..
*
used to think that shooting RAW was the best... but when your client's need the pics ASAP, no time for RAW editing ler... check white balance, creative settings and shoot JPEG... tongue.gif faster and nicer... somehow... keeps my clients happy... hehehe...

is it because he meters the background? If meter the background correctly (no overexpose) Then the foreground will be somewhat darker than the background right?
*
but, if you meter the background and then recompose your image and use flash, should be no problem... from what I usually experience la... but most of the time I shoot indoor events... so, ok la... tongue.gif

I'm still struggling with my a700's WB & Creative settings... Seemed so simple with my a200... tongue.gif didn't know if it was that tricky with the a700... and the best part is... got wedding job on Friday and Sunday! and also need to get used to shooting with the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 before the wedding! tongue.gif Got alot of work ahead of me... but somehow enjoicing myself... biggrin.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Would having a CZ 85mm F1.4 or CZ 135mm F1.8 be an overkill on A200 body ?

QUOTE(lwliam @ Dec 14 2009, 02:07 PM)
nope.. bigger is better  thumbup.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

have to agree with lwliam on that... someone once told me that getting the 70200G is overkill on my a200... didn't feel like it tho... tongue.gif was just nice... for portrait and sports...

if i used recovery slider, it will also affect the model sad.gif
any way like i can combine 2 pictures: 1 with proper exposed background and 1 with proper exposed model??
if can, how do i do that?
*
Use Layers in PS? Aka, duplicate the image, the 1 duplication is for the BG and the other Duplication is for the Model.

QUOTE(signither @ Dec 15 2009, 11:34 AM)
guys, eed some opinion here..

i usually just bring my prime for a walkaround/lepak2/dining out because im quite lazy to bring the flash and so need the big aperture.. but most of the time, i found out that 50mm would be too tight..

therefore, im thinking of getting a wider prime.. anyone have any experience on the 20mm, 24mm or 28mm?? how's their performance in low light condition? which one is better? what focal length should i go for since i already have the 50mm? read some review that 20mm and 50mm combination is quite good..

is this really a good idea? or should i just start bringing my flash anywhere i go?

thanks in advance..
*
I'd go for the 20... just for the fact that it's wide without being a fisheye... tongue.gif how much does it cost nowadays anyway?

lwliam: Well, your flash only goes to 24mm (on FF) wide. If you put the Stofen diffuser on, you will not be able to pull out the wide-angle panel.

So, don't use the Stofen and direct - there is no point in using a Stofen direct as the surface area of the light is the same. Take it off and use the wide-angle panel!

Ewin's grip is much cheaper-feeling than the third-party VG-B30AM copies. It's this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/BATTERY-GRIP-FOR-SONY-...=item335844ab09

Nope, there is no front or rear dial much less the AEL or AF/MF buttons. Even the shutter release is in an unergonomic position (the default one, as opposed to Sony's lower shutter.)

The shop is Leos Trading on the 1st floor next to the escalator.

readone_sapi: The first one.

Saw this on ebay... and somehow really disappointed with it... no scroll dial, not other buttons other than the shutter release... somehow seem like a waste wo...

I don't think it's for sale... it's a free gift when purchasing the a500 kit during the PC Fair... also saw a set in Kuching a few days ago... purrrty....

hi guys between SAL 16-105 and 16-80z which is better? looking for a good wide angle telephoto here, to replace the 18-70 on the A350 and also a good kit lens for my next target A550.
*
aiseh... don't compare the 1680 with 16105 la... hehehe... the answer is already so obvious... if you need the range, go for 16105... if you're looking for Excellent IQ, look no further than the 1680 and you can say "Screw the range, I'm getting a CZ"... tongue.gif
