@clivengu
the shot was real one..but edited quite a fair bit coz the orig water was not as clear/sharp...accidentally poke too many holes on my mineral water bottle..so there were leaks from multiple sources..had a small flood in my room =.=

from what i see on a700 performance..even newer replacement comes out..it probably with higher MP..and a few more function to ease ur life...so other than the MP,i believe the current a700 should be able to do what the replacement could(well not really if they include liveview)..maybe just a lil bit more troublesome..but i guess since we r so into photography/dslr..troublesome should not be the word inside our dictionary.. =p

comparing my a300 vs a850...the interface really awesome...changing the setting is really fast..but well...all these does not affect our photo'z quality..it gives us better life..but not necessarily better photos..

for 550..i tried it for like 10min last week..the menu somehow look abit closer to a330 series..and the button placement is diff from my a300/a850...not really used to it..but i guess its not a big deal..lol..its just a matter of time to get used to those small stuff..tired the auto HDR thingy..looked fun~!

would advice u to upload the flickr(recommended but slightly more troublesome if u need to copy lots of links)/picasa and share the photos here...

not to comment on the image quality..i feel that the composition has alot of space to improve..both top n bottom were cropped outside the frame..and i'd prefer to shoot it from lower angle(eye level) and place it slightly toward the side..

@ Killabee88
i LOVE the first short~!!!!! but i'd prefer to remove the reddish in the eyes tho..

owned it 13 months d shooting 3k plus photos. the joydtick yeah i seldom use it (not reach 5 times). future will use it more  nod.gif got read the white bible la, but some portion read also cant understand  sweat.gif
*
then thats the problem bro..u only shoot 3k of photos in a year(i did roughly 20k for my first year)..u never practice enough...and thru out the 3k shots..u never review what did u did wrongly...instead u choose to regret when u really need urself/ur camera to perform..thats a lil bit too late for me..

and reading manual isnt all..u need to try after u read..if u couldnt get it..ask around.....see some interesting shots by others..try urself see whether u could do similar stuff..if u couldnt do it..ask again..

u dont expect to buy a car and put it in ur garage..drive it once inawhile to fetch ur kid from sch...and after 1year later u wan to have Fernando Alonso skill...right?

use bigger aperture, subject and background distance further, camera and subject distance nearer

but still wants achew to answer tongue.gif

same la bro..concept is the same one ma..i answer u answer..the answer would be the same..lol...

the reason y my bokeh circles were alot bigger its bcoz that i shoot using 1.4....and when im on 2.8..im using macro on those figurine..so distance btwn subject vs camera is extremely close..

hope it helps tongue.gif

whats the monthly pixel mapping thingy about??lol..been using it 1year but never notice anything =x

anyway..i turn off all NR in my cameras..since i almost PP(be it small or big) every shot..i prefer to remove the noise myself as i have the control where to keep the detail n where to remove the noise(make it softer)..but maybe during my off days i would do a small test to see whether the camera does a better job than me..

trust me, u cant enter sony thread ask sony vs other model, same to enter nikon thread ask nikon vs sony. there might be a bias feedback and it is really up to personal preference. some like nikon because the color slightly vivid compare to other, some like sony or canon may be the color a bit warm. some buy sony bcos they like minolta lenses and carl zeiss lens, some like sony bcos it is no video record. majority is influent by fren. i got see my fren totally dont what is dslr buy canon 450D after 2 week sold it rugi 200 and buy d90 just because brain wash by others in TT. very funny

and there are too many other feature to compare epsecially in term of noise and low light. just ask yourself which feature u like then buy it. i can tell you one feature that is a550 no video record and d90 do have.  laugh.gif (actually i m the noobest at here, may ingore my message if others reply lol n one last thing. if u enter nikon thread they say sony a550 good i potong  tongue.gif )
*
i think its only true to some extend...not all dslr users r fanboys....and i do recommend my fren other brands/modes of dslr when it fits their requirement/budget
