I should've gotten this instead of the transporter 65 though but oh well, already buy and haven't used before. Hopefully when I use the bag for the first time in Jan, it won't disappoint me.

Wow, quite expensive. I got my Transporter 65 at RM259 only at The Curve (KL). I didn't ask the sales guy about the Porter coz that day when i went looking for the bag - first time heard about this brand also so didn't know anything about it but he said that it has a good warranty.

I tot the Porter would've been just slightly more expensive than mine but dunno la. After all already got my bag... so mahfan want to change or buy new one.

The Osprey Porter 46 goes for about RM300+ at Mdm Sia. Should be suitable for you if you're a light packer.

Anyone know if any shops in Penang sells Osprey backpack? Like totally dun hv.

My wife decided to replace her 10 years old backpack for day and travel use, we lurk around to find a backpack that is reasonably light and easier to pack. We decided to land our hand on Osprey Quantum 34L backpack. She's hesitated initially, but then I told her forget about the design, the most important is the comfortability and functionality of the pack. She bring this with her to Hong Kong and she felt huge difference between Osprey and her previous backpack. It's more comfortable for full day use and the design such a way that sweat won't stick to your back.

For yours information, I just sent my osprey Merton 35 for repair yesterday. Manage to speak to the people there as long as your bag is genuine osprey, the warranty is worldwide no matter where you bought it from. Osprey had a limited lifetime warranty on their product.

Btw is that cheaper to buy from Amazon? I'm still hunting for good deal from osprey product online. I knew some online retailer from us offer as much as 50% discount for off season osprey product. Just the courier charges that kills you.

Saw some sites that allows me to purchase Osprey online, but would prefer to be able to test the backpack first.
I don't think I'll make a trip to KL unless there's anything come up.
If I were to travel to KL just to buy a bag, then it will be higher cost already.

By the way, I'm about 150cm actually. Kinda worry about the size for Farpoint 55.
Just out of curiosity, have you got your bag from the famous Madam Sia shop?
Does the Osprey packs all comes with lifetime global warranty as said?
