I tried my xbox360 with my 42 lg plasma, i selected 1080i on the xbox console settings, and it works just fine. Does that mean that my tv supports 1080i ?

I checked the lg manual, but cant find whether it supports 1080.

Oh it's 42" btw

Anyway, i read an article about HDTV, the human eye is another factor. Not every eyes can see the difference, bla bla bla. So i guess i only need to use 720p, since someone said progressive scan is recommended for games

Did some search on the internet and found this :

1080i vs 1080p

So it's true, unless the screen size is BIG, you wont see much difference. And they have to concentrate to see the differences.

One more thing i dont understand is this : click here

Can someone explain the 2nd part ?

Astro is still using analog signal. Once they start to use digital, we can expect better PQ
