Hi, I just got myself a sharp aquos LC32PX5M, im using HDMI to connect to my ps3, while playing BD movie, it cant support 720p, but 480p and 1080i is ok, did anyone out there face the same prob?

yeah hope so, coz while gaming there was no prob in either mode, just BD movie playback

tat's the prob, even i set to 720p n uncheck the 1080i option, the BD movie cannot be played in 720p, it drops down to 480p

Mission Impossible 3 and monster house
it shouldnt have this prob, i have no trouble in displaying 1080i
btw my firmware is the latest

its going to weird if component could support 720p but not HDMI

ya 480p is the indication from the TV, but i dont think the signal would be false ler, coz if 720p the indication will stated 720p

well bad news bros, tried with component also, it doesnt support 720p
well my wild guess would be the media itself, (very strange both movie are not render in 720p??? WTF is a BD movie?? joking rite!!!!)
