Well if you guys think it can be done good without laser i am willing to consider. Any thoughts though about the window mode?

My old case just had the acrylic riveted into the aluminium from the outside of the side panel... or is there a better looking way of adding the window? I just want a simple looking square acrylic window with thick Ac Ryan acrylic.
This is my pc specs

CPU: Intel I7 920
Motherboard: P6T Deluxe V2
Memory: 3 sticks of 2gb Corsair Dominator DDR3
Casing: Lian Li PC-A71F
This was the suggested package offered to me to resemble this other project
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1162196

1 x Swiftech Apogee XT LGA1366 & LGA1156
1 x aquagraFX for GTX 285 (G200b)
1 x Swiftech MCP655
1 x Swiftech 3 x 120mm radiator
3 x Scythe 120mm SlipStream SY1225SL12SH - 110 CFM
1 x EK-Multioption RES 250 rev.2 reservoir
12 x Bitspower Compression fittings 1/2" 3/4"
8 x Bitspower 45 degree
4 x Bitspower 90 degree rotaries
6 feet Feser UV White/Black 1/2in. ID 3/4in. OD tubing
1 x Logisys 2 x 30cm UV CCFL
1 x Bitspower Black Freezer AIX58NS - for Asus P6T/P6T V2 Deluxe
1 x Bitspower MOSII and MOS III

Total = RM3xxx
This is the new modified package i made after removing the motherboard chipset and mosfet cooling:
1 x Swiftech Apogee XT LGA1366 & LGA1156
1 x aquagraFX for GTX 285 (G200b)
1 x Swiftech MCP655
1 x Swiftech 3 x 120mm radiator
3 x Scythe 120mm SlipStream SY1225SL12SH - 110 CFM
1 x EK-Multioption RES 250 rev.2 reservoir
8 x Bitspower Compression fittings 1/2" 3/4"
4 x Bitspower 45 degree
4 x Bitspower 90 degree rotaries
6 feet Feser UV White/Black 1/2in. ID 3/4in. OD tubing
1 x Logisys 2 x 30cm UV CCFL

Total = RM2xxx
I removed the motherboard chipset and mosfet water cooler parts because i am anticipating upgrading to a better motherboard next year once USB3 and SATA 6GBs all finally become mainstream. So no point investing in a water block specific for the Asus P6T Deluxe V2 yes?

Any comments regarding this setup? And is water cooling really necessary for my Nvidia 285 graphics card or can i remove that from my setup to cut costs?
*
i'd say get a better fan for the rads.. slipstreams doh.gif performs bad on rads, their static pressure is weak .. go for the S-Flexs (80cfm+) or 38mm fans

I don't think your casing would fit a quad rad and even if it does, it would be a very very tight fit biggrin.gif You won't be happy with that either.
*
can fit one biggrin.gif.. my case actually can fit a 480 on top but it'll cover the whole top part, but a 360 will do for a 285 and an i7 (paired with a good fan).. and if u put some mesh on top of the rad to cover it (aluminium), it'll look sexy thumbup.gif

anything can be done if ur creative enough =) (except fitting those 9 fan radiators lol)

I took some pictures of my case (low res :[ )

I'll try upload doh.gif
But looking at it, there doesn't seem to be a place to attach the radiator at the top. Do i need to drill hole or something?
*
yep.. i had to cut and drill mine, remember if ur cutting with dremel/rotaratory tools, always cut 0.5cm away then the original measurement cause u will need to file it (they dont produce sharp cuts, instead wavy ones)..

QUOTE(tesla_rage @ Nov 25 2009, 10:07 PM)
If there are no screw holes, you will have to drill some. Even a TJ07 suffers the same issue tongue.gif

One case that I know of that is ready for top mount radiator is the CM HAF932.

Nways, looks like its gonna be a good mod. Cant wait for more progress smile.gif
*
the obsidian 800D got pre-drilled screw holes for 360 rad.. not sure what rads can fit, maybe standard ones can but the old thermochill which have a bigger gap between the screws might not be able to fit..

Can anyone help me make a window mode like this plz

@Reiben:  This is the new package i am looking at. 140cm kaze Scythe 1200RPM fans.
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1231435#
I am unsure about the radiator. Should i get

HW Labs Black Ice SR1 480 Carbon Black - QUAD 120mm
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/hwlablicesr13.html

OR

HW Labs Black Ice SR1 360 Carbon Black - Triple 120mm
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/hwlablicesr12.html

OR

HW Labs Black Ice GT Xtreme 420 - Black - Triple 140mm
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/hwlablicegtx4.html
rclxub.gif
*
get a feser 360 rofl..
the SR1 360 should be good edi and i can cut ur side panel if u want me too later (FOC ^^) but my skills are not perfect yet doh.gif ..
as for 420 rads.. u really need a big case to fit that doh.gif even on top but its not impossible though =)..

Cauz i heard although it's best bang for bucks for it's performance, it's not the best for performance. Also it is old model isn't it? Not to say it's bad but there are some newer models out with thinner fins doh.gif

Also the build quality is not as good solid as the HW Labs one. I'm picky  flex.gif

Claw i was looking again at your project  http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1162196   the casing has the same chasis at the top. Can yours fit a 420   3x140 radiator? Any comment.
I found a benchmark roundup for the different radiators.
http://skinneelabs.com/Radiators/TripleV2/Triples-V2.html
*
benchmark dekat2 je to be honest.. depends on what fan u using.. the SR1/Feser360 works best with 1200RPM fans compared to the GTX360, while the GTX360 beat all of the rads doh.gif if paired with a powerfull fan (2000+RPM) .. the Swiftech MC-320 is the best for price/performance ratio..
i suggest to u get a fan that runs quite and put them in a push/pull config biggrin.gif..

conclusion = grab the HWlabs 360.. if not enough $$, the Swiftech 320 should do =)

that u need to ask clawhammer himself lol.. i think he has like 8x rotaratory 45° fittings and 4x rotaratory 90° fittings

i only got 4 of each..( 4x 90° and 4x 45°)

as for compression fittings size.. it depends on the tubes u use.. thats all biggrin.gif,
if ur using 1/2"ID 3/4"OD fittings, then u'll need 1/2"ID 3/'4OD compression fittings (i prefer silver, clawhammers one are black but doesnt matter)

same for 7/16"ID, 5/8"OD tubes.. u'll need the fittings with the same size..

if ur going black tubes.. dont bother using UV coolant.. u wont see it anyway lolz.. unless ur gonna use a mix of transparent tubing + black ones..

u can either use a t-line doh.gif to flush/topup fluid.. or just do it the manual way haha.. take a bucket.. open all our WC stuffs and walah biggrin.gif... open all the fittings inside it..

example of a T-Line: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...ling_T-Line.JPG

u have to dissamble ur system btw.. nothing in WC is easy

to on ur pump.. take ur 24 pin Mobo PSU cable and short the green wire and a black one (any black one will do).. i use a pair of compasses for it biggrin.gif so i just can stick it into it and let the pump bleed for 2-24 hours instead of holding it, usually i do 4-6hours..

Thx kInOzAwA  and Reiben. I sorta understand a bit.

So let me get this straight, for radiator, waterblocks, reservoir and pump there is an inlet and outlet port. Each port should have compression fittings also fixed with either a 45 or a 90 degree rotary each?

So cpu block would have 1 compression and 1 rotary (either the 45 or the 90?) I hope i got this right doh.gif
Just as i suspected, i need to now get a modified pump mod top doh.gif Do you reckon the bits power mod is good or is it too gaudy? Or should i get the EK mod for the pum, or the plain and simple sidewidner mod that adds the g1/4 ports?
Modified MCP655 pump with the G1/4 port
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/sicumclad5wi.html

Bitspower Gaudy mod add on
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/bid5mcmodkit.html

EK power plain mod add on
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ekwaekxforla.html
@kInOzAwA : No point using SLI for me until Hydra chip motherboards start coming out. It's more efficient at pairing graphics cards to get the most benefit for combined FPS increase, also you don't need graphics card connectors, and can use different models and brands.
*
u can fit both a 45 and 90 degree a block depends on how many inlet/outlet it has.. and u have to put a compression fittings on top of it..

i'll upload some pictures to make u understand better biggrin.gif

i agree with u with the hydra thingy.. the drivers haven't mature yet.. buying the board now is like suicide unless ur testing it for fun (or have shitloads of money to waste biggrin.gif, but i rather waste it on WC haha)

lol.. i think the bitspower top can take an inlet from the top.. or maybe im wrong, but it has 2 inlets and 2 outlets compared to other D5 vario.. never tried it before thou doh.gif.. if im not mistaken.. the D5 will blow in like 5 seconds if no water enters it..

its not hard to find a green wire doh.gif.. u see the 24pin ATX PSU Cables.. just see the color.. green and black.. then take a metal and short it

u have to attach the rotaratory fittings first.. then only u put in ur compression fittings/barbs on it.. u get what i mean biggrin.gif?
2x 90 Rotaratory Fittings.. and 2 Compresion Fittings 1/2"ID, 3/4"OD..

why dont u do it urself?? mount a 360 rad on top is easy smile.gif especially if u have a huge ass case like the PC-A71F..

Added on December 4, 2009, 12:42 pmand u can always check if the block is compatible with what revision on the website ^^

Elpy, for your information someone is selling a modded PC-A71F case.

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ind...oducts_id=26504

You might get some good ideas looking at that as well :}
Lichyetan: Oh i didn't know this :{ anyway thx for sharing.
Elphy by the way this is a great case, but the only bad things about it is, compared to the previous PC-A71 models, this one does not have a removable motherboard tray....  also the front panel is more steps to remove in order to access the fan filters. The later isn't too bad, but the motherboard tray was a let down >-<;

other than that, i really like this case  nod.gif

Anyway i want to make the reservoir and pump sorta like this generally. And also like the prior screenshot which the pump had a drain port doh.gif
