What TS said, I could understand from where it coming from. Probably experienced it first hand eh. Unless people actually live over there and experienced or truly understand English football culture, it's could be hard to understand. While we do have some fanatics of our own in local football scene, over there lots of them take it religiously. It's more about tradition. Some of the root fans just don't want their club to be associated with fans (from Asia especially, Caucasian is more or less can be forgiven) whom they they are not familiar with and don't really know their background (unless you're a guy who pour millions for the clubs) and would make the club looks like losing it's own identity. But most likely they are on the minority side.
I bet if TS actually phrased her words differently while talking about the same thing the thread probably get a better response.
