A question to PhD holders

1. Would you guys quit studying when you see money?(for instance MLM which supposedly can earn 6 figure income a month)

2. When you have studied so hard to get into PhD level with years of experience in your studies, would you just quit it completely?

To me, it doesn't make any sense, why would you study so high when you can start earning that money right after finish your SPM or a little higher education right? Once you are at a PhD level, you wouldn't just leave it, like dropping what you studied to do MLM, you would like do research and stuff like that.

What do you Master's degree or PhD holders think?

I'm just so confused.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's the word I was finding. satisfy.

No matter how much money you get, it's won't satisfy you internally..
Something like Einstein, he just works and study, money is no issue.

Yeah, in life you need money to live but you won't be satisfied no matter how much you get.

yes... Lot of people obtain satisfaction from money.. but it wont last long... the satisfaction from money... soon, you`ll feel empty... merz, BMW, rolex can give you euphoric satisfaction.. but they wont last.. soon, you feel bored of it...

my cousin focus on research on plants in biotech... even he back to hometown, he still extracts speciments for his research

I asked the question because there are quite a number of so-called PhD holders claiming to be from prestigious universities who does MLM.

I'm not satisfied with their response. They say that the money is big here, but when I ask "why did you pursue PhD or heck, a Master's degree for it matters?" they just give me a black stare.

If u got a PHD u got many choices...(u dun need to work hard, learn hard after ur PHD,becoz the PHD Title will talk for u)
If u only SPM(for sure u can be more successful than any PHD out there, but u need luck, courage, smart,n more hardworking than any PHD) biggrin.gif
for example.... Lim Goh tong doesnt have a degree or even SPM, but he got all the PhD to work for him..

who is more brilliant? the uneducated boss or the PhD employee? hmm.gif

after getting a BEng in Engineering, I see degree/post grad are mere pakaging to yourself.. when it comes to career, it needs street smart and livelong learning...

possessing a PhD doesn`t mean you can stop learning when grad...

As i said Lim Goh tong got luck, courage to RISK,smart,n more hardworking than his PHD employee.

If u never try,100% u wont be RICH.If u tried,at least some chance to became Wealthy.
If i got >10K per month wif my PHD,i quite satify for myself...Y still need to risk for RICH.
But if i a SPM,i had to risk for success, becoz i juz wont lose anything...when u risk,u not only can be success,u can be RICH too tongue.gif (But out of 100,how many r successful n how many stay <3k?)  cry.gif

If a PHD+ part time MLM, wow this guy can fly biggrin.gif

YES... this is what I realise... uneducated people tend to have this attitude.. "well, there`s nothing to lose"

while many educated people might think... 'what IF I lose it all?? better play safe.. "

The counter intuitive answer: the PhD employee.

Because you're implicitly using the money metric to determine 'brilliance' when many other metrics could be used.
