Oh God, why is everyone so misunderstood....

THE PC XBOX CONTROLLERS ARE THE XBOX XBOX CONTROLLERS, THERE ARE NO DIFFERENCES. SERIOUSLY. YOU JUST SYNC IT TO THE XBOX AND THERE YOU GO.

They only repackage it in a box that says Windows, and for the wireless one they just add the dongle.
OTHERWISE IT'S THE SAME. YOU CAN BUY THE WINDOWS ONE AND USE FOR XBOX, OR VICE VERSA.

Actually you do have to sync everytime you switch, I do that too. Its not hard, just a quick press of both sync buttons

My advice would be, if you don't really sit that far away from your screen when playing games, go for the wired controller, for one there's no syncing just plug and play, plus no need to waste batteries(the xbox controller sucks up standard batteries pretty badly), and the rechargable battery pack is a pain to recharge and doesnt have a long lifespan, unlike the PS3 controller. AND, you save more money as the wired controller is cheaper
