maybe to get some pick up power? i am in S mode ALL THE TIME.

i have got a problem.

the moment i start the car, the little dot on the radio got green flourescent colour.

this is the second time this happened. last time happen, i thought the system was resetting or something, and when i push the big circle button there, everything normal again.

but just now, whatever i do, nothing change. it became silent. even when i turn off the ignition and start again, the green flouresecent dot still light.

anyone have ever face the same problem?

ps- the dot is for one 'data connection or something', which i believe when it is reading from usb, it may light. but i never attach it to any usb. this boggles me why this happen

sysh: u notice aite, at the right handside of the ICE's little screen, there is a little square dot. whats written at the dot is something 'Read Data' or something. whenever we turn on the radio i believe the colour of the square dot should be orange or jingga.

what happen last night was, that dot turned green flourescent the moment i turn on the ignition (start the car). i didnt even turn on the radio or anything. i tried turn off the radio but it seemed hanged. not a sound whatsoever even tho i press almost all the buttons there (to see whether any of them can do any different)

i turned off the ignition, pull out the key and re start again the car. again, the green flouresecent dot came out. and again not a sound from the speaker. then i press the big round button on the ICE and hold it. luckily everything went normal.

normal = green flourescent dot disappear and the radio came sounding again.

i tried to google but i couldnt find anything.

if lets say at stand still and u changed to S WITHOUT first engaging the paddle shifter, yes it will auto shift for u. but only until the third gear. i know its kinda confusing but believe me, in S mode, the difference in pick up and 'beaufitul sound' are very significant, compared to D mode.

so what we do or most of us do is that, after u change it to S, engage the paddle shifter. u can do this by clicking the (-), left paddle with ur finger. this, will sort of activate the paddle and u are ready to manualised ur auto after that. i click the (-) because if u click the other one (+), then it move the gear to the second gear. imagine the car getting off the way from standstill in SECOND GEAR in manual cars oso i dont do that!

7 speed 4G city dunno. 5 speed 5G yes.

anyway 4G city tranny is a CVT. u wouldnt want to trash it like what most of us 5G drivers are!

as for the 5speed 5G city, we engage paddle shifters by atleast one click to the paddle. meaning if i click on (+), then the system activated and the gear is 2nd. then u need to click (-) to move to 1st gear so that the acceleration/ pick up is better. thats why i engage the shifters by click (-)

i mean, out of norm, i wouldnt want to accelerate from a standstill using 2nd gear. and notice or not, in this 5G city, it will only allow us to shift to second gear (upon activation) if the car doesnt move (for standstill acceleration, example at a traffic light).

well, i've seen jeremy clarkson done a 5th gear accceleration in a Aston Martin before. so i guess yes it can be done (move the car in any gear whatsoever)

every system has got its own weakness and strong points. or 'coolness' as point out by u.

any RFID system is theft-able if the thief got somekind of a reader that can copy ur code.

i am now hawking for best deal around northern area for 2.0accord. anyone got good SA can kautim kaw-kaw?

see that right hand side little dot? this morning i turned ignition on, it turned green almost simultaneously the moment i turn the key. although it says ' data access ' FYI i didnt connect any usb. not even a disc inside that player!

the centre lcd show nothing. its like device on a very low battery or something. dusty a bit i was winding the window down cause the initial blow of the aircond contains cancer related particle or something. thats what i read somewhere

this had happened a few times in the past. i've voice out to Lee Motors Alor Star the place i've been servicing my city. but then they seemed not getting any of what i meant. and plus it is quite hard to explain this incident.

perhaps easier if it happen when i show it to them, but 'unfortunately' this has not happen whenever i 'want' it.

once the ICE went like this, all the button i pushed dont make any difference whatsoever. even when i turned off ignition and pull the keys out and in again, still it stay the same. if i am lucky, after a while travelling, the ICE okay itself and radio comes on. if i am not so lucky, like i was today, the entire journey ICE still gone crazy like that. until i reached the university.

anyone encounter the same problem? this is a very big problem i google oso no one in the world facing the same thing. must ask honda for a replacement vehicle. type R civic can?

its 3 or 4 nowadays. SA told me the other day i went for the accord

last time i waited for 4 months. booked on the 2nd jan, got 11 may. is that 5 months?

from what SA told me, due to the problem faced by the earlier gen city, melaka plant concentrate more on rectifying that blardy problem. meaning quite some technicians are removed from production to attend that.

which means slower line and longer waiting period. but he, my SA could be wrong. so dont lose hope yah?

dunno about auto speed lock or something coz till now i dont install any. but our tyre size is unique. last time mine got nail in it, we bought new one at 200 plus. 225RM i think. and had to order summore! so its not that hard, but not as easy i guess..

mine as well, but only the centre arm rest. not that badly rotten, but its getting harder when u touch it or rub it.

500bucks? wah?
