I was told by the salesman that once I had entered the key, I need to wait for the electronic systems to be checked first (there's an orange indicator on the RPM meter). This usually takes about 5-10 seconds.
But my question is, do we really have to wait for the light to go off before starting the engine? What if you need to quickly drive off that place for some urgent reason?
now i wait it every time... already become a habit... just like checking the alarm indicator when i lock the car... unless got people try to rob you or pose a threat to your life, there is no reason for not waiting that few seconds.... i think is about 3 seconds? impossible 10 seconds that long...

10 sec? =.='' dun exaggerate la. where got that long. it's 4-5 sec only dude.
ok maybe i was wrong, but it was definitely about 5 seconds.. ppl waiting to fight for our parking at shopping malls gotta wait then
sorry that i mistaken what you said before... because i didn't read properly... the one you mean is malfunction indicator lamp... you don't have to wait that... while the one i mean is the fuel indicator lamp... what the sales manager told me is to wait it to move up then you can start the engine... it move up within 3secs...
oh no wonder mayb i heard wrongly from the salesman good news then, thanks
