we cannot only see the FD to tell the gearbox is different .... we must see each gear compound ratio (compound ratio = gear ratio X final drive ratio) ..

EXP :

Gearbox A

1st : 2.750 compound ratio = 11.55
2nd : 1.684 compound ratio = 7.073
3rd : 1.160 compound ratio = 4.872
4th : 0.862 compound ratio = 3.620
5th : 0.617 compound ratio = 2.591
FD : 4.2


Gearbox B

1st : 2.406 compound ratio = 11.55
2nd : 1.473 compound ratio = 7.073
3rd : 1.015 compound ratio = 4.872
4th : 0.754 compound ratio = 3.620
5th : 0.539 compound ratio = 2.591
FD : 4.8


from above.... we see gearbox A & B have diff gear set and final drive..... but both compound ratios are the same .... so the gearboxs will act the same on road interm of speed, rpm, wheel torque ...


from what i see... mivec gb almost the same from 1st to 4th gear .... only 5th gear is big different .... for drag, mivec will perform better .... but still not perfect... custom gear ratio is must if wanna built pure drag machine ..

a good gearbox design also can help reduce transmission power loss.... alot more factor that can help car accelerate faster....

humm... dunno lah, 3.8bar still 14.++:1 ..... up 4bar, fuel reg start to make loud noise.... dun dare to up more, the noise is quite loud.... something is not right...

my car, 3.4bar = 13.5:1afr ..... 3.8bar = 12.5:1afr ....

for hi tuned n/a engine afr at WOT = 12.5:1
normal n/a engine afr at WOT = 13.5:1
turbo engine afr at WOT = 11.5:1
cruising afr = 15 ~ 14.5:1
part throttle accelerate = 14.5 ~ 13:1


lower the front numbers more fuel is injected....

sorry for late reply.... at offshore oledy... humm.. for basic innovate lm2 is about rm1800... full set around rm2300 ... just buy it, no regret ... than you can start learn how to tune engine... start with safc... than go emanage... after that go for standalone... huhu microtech .. haltech .. motech..

after my wira complete brake-in engine, if you free can follow me do haltech tuning at dyno pengkalan chepa... smile.gif
