PSP UMD reader Problem!, Cant Read Disk

Hye guys,
I got a problem at my psp......
When I HardReset,And Then On It Back,I Got An Error.....It Said Read Disk Error bla bla bla......This error not allowed me to go to main menu and play game.....I will stuck with background and no menu......This happen after my brother drop my psp..........He said maybe UMD reader or laser got a problem...So stress!!!!!!Sometimes only i can get into main menu.......
Anyone got ideas???Dont giv idea "clean ur laser with cloth and alcohol".....It dosent work!

remove the UMD.
i had a similiar problem before-i couldnt access the XMB,could only see the wave and no icons appeared.
but removing the UMD did the trick

had the same prb, found this plugin to disable the UMD drive =D http://is.gd/4WrpNit solves problems like: 1. emitting the red laser although there isn't any UMD inside the drive during start up (which causes the PSP to hang at the XMB menu for a short while) 2. the sudden "Do you want to quit this game?" while inside a game. doing this will disable ur UMD drive until u deactivate that plugin. |
