it solves problems like:
1. emitting the red laser although there isn't any UMD inside the drive during start up (which causes the PSP to hang at the XMB menu for a short while)
2. the sudden "Do you want to quit this game?" while inside a game.
doing this will disable ur UMD drive until u deactivate that plugin.
