Personally I prefer Masunaga, Yellows Plus and Kaneko.

Sorry I have never used blue lenses so wouldn't know their price.

Hey thinking of changing my spec. Main crititeria is to reduce the thickness of lens as my power is -6.5.

Problem is I am having a spec made up glass which I am not sure what is the index. If I go and make another spec, say 1.67 index, it might be thicker than current one. Then no point.

What is the max index I could get from the market now ?

Thinking of getting a smaller lens frame so that the lens will be thinner.

Also, will thinner (higher index) lens reduce the 'power rings'.

Highest index for plastic lens you can get is 1.76 by Tokai.

Power rings are obvious on the thick part of high index lenses due to the compactness of the material.
It can be reduced by polishing the edge of the lens.
Of course, the other option is to get smaller frame.

In terms of weight, plastic is always lighter than a glass lens.

Hope that answers your questions.

How about non plastic, what is the highest index which is used commercially ?

I made my glasses a few years ago. It is made of glass. And I remembered the shop was telling me glass is sold to me because the plastic one will be thicker.

Which means if I go back to 1.76 plastic, it might be thicker than the current spec. That will defeat the purpose of making a new one.

glass lens highest index is 1.9, normally they use 1.8 index which thinner than all plastic available now, but plastic is lighter weight even slight thicker.

tokai 1.76 is much more expensive than 1.9 index glass lens.

wear contact lens, no thick lens problem.

I used to wear contact lens. But lately the dryness becomes too unbearable. And then mishandled contact lens gives me eye infection.

It's not just the handmade. The material they use for the frame. The curing process for the material. The time taken to put it together by hand. Polishing of frame. The hinge quality.
You pay what you get.

Any recommended store to get them, I have hard time choosing which frame is suitable for me xD too fickle minded.

Should I wait and get it while I travel to japan end of the year, still long way to go haha.

If your spectacle can still be used. You can wait for japan. Many Japanese frames you can get there at a lower retail price compare to Malaysia.
Brands such as Dita, Masunaga, Matsuda, USH, Sugimoto Kei, On Beat, Chrome Hearts, 999.9 etc ... the list goes on

Cant wait for new specs, got a number of shops in Malaysia selling Japanese specs.

LOL

u have one sensitive eyes there

do you use normal saline to rinse your lens before wearing?

Normal saline is good

Plus, maybe u can try those sensitive eyes saline wash for washing your lens after removing it from your eyes.

like someone mention, u can try this ALCON DAILIES TOTAL 1

The lens curve radius is the biggest that I have ever worn. and the diameter is bigger than my Bioinfinity which I have been wearing for many years and am still very happy to stick to this bioinfinity.

If you have tried all.

u better go wear specs
