Yes.

But I think you'll still be charged the full amount when you are abroad...

So why not just finish the treatment in Malaysia?

I think it will be cheaper to go to India to do a whole bunch of dental treatment at one go than doing them in malaysia

haha, really? if you know any Indian dental forums do pay a visit. and if you're from the dental line then you'll know how many useless dentists they have there. most of the bad apples are privately funded. they know nothing about dentistry, and just pass because of ahem ahem.

the cheap treatments you're getting there, probably are from dentists/graduates who has never done any RCT in their life. if you're want to pay a cheap fee to be a lab mice, go ahead.

however, there are also many good ones there. so you'll have to check if they're from a private, or government university (see their stamp). and judge from the age. stay away from the young ones.

i believe an experienced dentist there will not charge just as cheap. because you'll also be paying for treatment which you don't need. especially to the most clueless patients, they'll talk them into a treatment and they'll just accept those treatments. what more if your dentist is from the malayalee tribe.

lol how do i know all these? whistling.gif

sure, good info there. isn't like every other Tom, Dik, and Harry has an MDS?

by all means do take a boat or fly to India everytime you want to be treated for anything.

Again with the belittling? Do you have an MDS?

Don't butt-hurt when its a fact that dental treatment is cheaper in India and it is a good deal to go there for a bunch of dental treatments at once.

Any person with common-sense will question RM450 vs RM80 for root canal treatment~

no I don't have an MDS. in fact I do plan to go there, or Sri Lanka for my MDS. I have high regard for their senior dental team, but not the ones of my generation.

let's put quality of treatment aside. maybe they'll have excellent ones, maybe they have poor ones. bad apples are everywhere, and so happens the ones i come across turns out to be bad.

have you dealt with any suppliers in Malaysia? unlike India who produces some of their own dental chairs, here we either have to buy sub standard ones from China/Taiwan/Korea, or buy expensive ones from Europe.

and minimum price of treatment are set by the MDC. so yeah, rant to them about pricing if you want. RCT for a bukan warganegara in government is at RM60 per canal (for molars, that would be RM180).
