last time i called at least once a day, make them to explain to me what they do today and give some pressure.
since i noticed they are too too slow after one week.

yours freehold or leasehold? need land office consent ka?

Heard they have flood one months plus ago, and the docs in the office were all messed up, now they are still clearing it.

Anybody experiencing a long delay with the land office?

Agree... i also have the impression that lawyer do things very slowly.

On average.. freehold take 3 months and leasehold take 6 months to finish the agreement... Don't you all think it's too slow also??

Totally agreed, when need money very fast, when work very slow.

I notice, some of the lawyer firm use really low level staff to do work like, prepare & compile all the document, thus a lot of  mistake. The actual lawyer is only Sign.

For few hour work can be drag for a week.
Simple case, one document need to collect from bank took a week. Why?
Day 1. Our office boy is not in, MC, onleave, busy or etc
Day 2. After they manage to collect, they might not straight away handle your case, normally will wait for next day only reach the office staff to look into the file (if you are lucky).
Day 3. After reach the office staff, need to do some paper work, then prepare for lawyer to EXECUTE.
Day 4....onwards, sleeping on lawyer table. (reason: lawyer not in, lawyer busy....etc)

Here is my story start at July 2009.

My strata title came out at the time I sign S&P. She write to developer to request for direct transfer. Waiting to the permission letter alone took 1 month! Why the delay? The developer need vendor to pay RM500 before release the letter but the lawyer never ask and developer never say. Both stupid side just waiting for each other. At the end, I ask the lawyer to call developer what happen, then only know... Really tak boleh harap.

After sign S&P, now waiting again for MOT from developer. I call every week. Everytime she say she will check with her assistant and call me back. But she never return my call. The next day I am calling again. She say she will check with assistant again. I say yesterday you didn't check? She say her assistant did not update her and will return my call after check. Guess what, no call... WT

I signed S&P 2 months ago, until now still haven't get my promised rebate. She keep saying already inform account department but week after week, no rebate.

No next time. I will make sure people who know me wont go to this firm.

Lastly, this firm is in Sunway.

Exactly, all this lawyer firm staff i don't know want to say they are lazy, busy or want face. The fact is they won't call for following up when document in and out. Just keep waiting.
Eg, document sent to developer, sent to vendor bank, etc....if you ask them, they say sent already, should be reply within 14 days, after 13 days you call again, they will say if they no respone, we extend one more week, then when you ask them did they follow up, they will say 'NO'. Piss me off.... i scold them, why can't you all call and follow up? 

In fact, if you look at your lawyer bill, there should have one part charge us about RM100 for telephone call, but i guess they never utilise even RM0.10.

So, what i did was, no matter my document reach where, i follow up myself. Sound stupid, pay people money, yet gotto follow up our own....

What to do, we have such a nice Lawyer........

The firm is introduce by the sales agent. This is my first house. I dont have any experience before and do not know any lawyer.
She say this firm is good. She knows the boss lawyer.

Maybe only the boss is good (who knows  ) but I can say the legal assistant is not good enough  .

Think of want to complain but I dont want her to become jobless (not so serious maybe  ).
Anyway, the boss will know sooner or later.
