Hi, since starting playing WoW I've been playing in Jubei'thos server since day one. However, recently a few of my friends will be starting WoW and from my observation Jubei isn't a newbie friendly place anymore (4600gs for Ony25, and they'll kick a tank with 30k hp unbuffed for heroics, and most people will just rage quit after a wipe in any Heroic or Raid. I feel like Jubei players ain't patient anymore after WOTLK was released). So thought wanna recommend them another Oceanic server and transfer my priest as well to help them.

So want to ask which Oceanic server (ally or Horde currently has the best server 'culture') is erm...newbie friendly now? Thanks.

jubei was never noob friendly its one of the most harsh server i ever played on. the people there never helpfull most of the time they will flame you down

thaurissan horde, its where the most of us are at =p

Thaurissan is not that bad, my dk alt with 3k+ gs still can pug voa and ony. But guildies did help me in getting the achieves 1st round.

thaurissan u can find there is more 8gmt guild than 10 gmt...i bet 80% of thaurissan from asean

Same bro, me in jubei as well and now only 1-2 guild in horde can at least kill few bosses from TOGC 25m, and people come and go, new recruit tend to expect to be carried.
So might transfer also

I have to say Thaurissan is a very fun server. Joined LoTH for less than a month and I'm having a great time so far.

But do note that Raid leader Rantic is necessarily strict and demanding when it comes to raider's performance, which is crucial for progression.

Though I think 4500GS and archivement for PUG Onyxia is quite normal.

What u need is a good guild, not a 'friendlier' server

Jubei was kinda decent when I first started. I remember being able to do PUG Kara using half blues and greens. Now the culture there is just soo....I would say pampered.

Yeah not so impressive. Most of the time I only do Heroic dailys and H TOC on weekdays night and VOA and Onyxia on weekends. No time to commit to hardcore 6 days raiding. Hopefully can find a decent weekend guild though.

jubei aint that bad if you not aiming high though IMO. :S just community is very "friendly"

atleast you got "Champion of the Frozen Wastes", i do almost the same thing you do and i still can't get that title

from my point of view, no matter where you go/pug, there always "5K GS or no reply" jerks,
when lfg, i just put the stat info instead of my GS(since idk what mine score anyway),
so whoever found me, i know he/she don't care about gearscore, the party got less chance of loot drama/wipe nerdrage

like most guy here said : join a nice guild. and you and your friends will be fine

guilds banned gearscore lol...
so when my guildies do pug, all they say is gearscore is banned...
seriously, gearscore spam u wit loads of dataflow...
on fights like twinsHM it'll cost ur raid ><

For me Jubei people are just to the extreme. 4.6k gs is high for Ony25 because, for me it's not a hard raid. I think as long players know how to avoid the bad stuff, 4k gs is already sufficient. Heck I even done ony10 with a group full with blues. It's because the players know what to do. Another thing is when my paladin hit 80, I had decent 27k hp def cap and get turned down for heroic raid because people wants to finish H Nexus in 15 minutes. Tis happens 80% of the time. Hence which led me to believe Jubei is not the realm for me. Used to be good 2 year ago. Casual weekend guild are hard to find in Jubei anyway.
