What Hero has over iPhone:
Multitasking 5MPx camera with touch focus Open system so you can mod as much as you want When you buy Hero and play with it, you will say to yourself you made a good decision.. P/s: Its purposedly made bias because you are asking in the Android section..LOL |

QUOTE(myboo_1988 @ Nov 12 2009, 02:11 AM) im so confuse ....thinking wan to buy hero o 3gs.....pls help me decide...im not crazy gamers...i dont play game, 1st, I would say that both phones are smooth, although Hero can be a tiny bit laggy at times (actually, so does 3Gs), but since you don't play game, I think speed wouldn't be much of an issue?2nd i more into reading book, music, and etc... 3rd...3gs i get almost same price with me 4th i dont understand hw to use htc hero??isnt same with window base?? my bday is coming im buying for myself as present... 2nd, Music quality, iPhone's slightly better (but it also due to the earphones bulked), I guess if u change to a third party earphones, it'd get better, with slight or no difference (at least to my extend of hearing XD) 3rd, No comment, but if you're signing with Maxis, don't forget you'll have to pay RM150 even if u used less. 4th, Well it's Android OS is a new platform, usage is similar with Windows Mobile platforms, and actually is quite dependent on how the manufacturers tweak it, eg, the Hero has Sense UI, which gives great advantages on ease of usage. It's different from iPhone OS tho, since iPhone can't multitask, it's usage is pretty simple. Well just like the previous posts have mentioned, iPhone's touch screen is prefect, and I personally think that it's true. |

Maybe you should wait for Motorola's Droid instead of Hero if you decide to get Android.
Why opt for Android over iPhone, due to their backroom deal with AT&T, Apple has crippled some of the iPhone's functionality. iPhone may be pretty and for most normal folks who don't do much tinkering with their phone, it'll be fine, but if you are the nerd/geek type and like your phone to do new and better things, then you can't go wrong with Android. |

Both are diff phone runnin diff OS. iPhone battery should last longer - based on my usage/observation comparing 3g/3gs/HTC magic/Liquid. The iphone typically lasts me 2 days and the Qualcomms slightly more than a day or less.
The multitouch on the iphone is one of the MOST polished in the market - never misses a beat. Apple appstore has way more apps compare to market BUT we all expect the android market to improve by leaps and bounds in the next 3-6months timeframe. My 'sources' tells me there are lot of taiwainese CPU makers jumping into the android bandwagon now and should expect to see a flurry of devices in the next 6 months down the road. BTW, watever agreement/understanding AT&T has with Apple has no bearings on the Maxis/Apple deals. Maxis launched their iphone MMS a wee bit earlier than AT&T and iphone tethering is available(as of this writing, tethring is still NOT available on AT&T). I would say now Maxis is encountering what AT&T did months ago....data congestion no thanks to increasing iphone user base. We'll just have to wait and see if Maxis will upgrade their infra like crazy after their IPO This post has been edited by itanium: Nov 12 2009, 12:28 PM |

Can anyone share the experience that the data sync between Android and OS X.
For iPhone there is iTune plays a role to link and communicate the phone and the computer. How about Android? Is it easy to manage the contact, calendar, photo, music between the computer and phone? |

QUOTE(itanium @ Nov 12 2009, 12:35 PM) I think I found the answer edi..Droid Eris review from cnet.com. http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/htc-dr...ml?tag=txt;page QUOTE ... The music player is similar to that on other Android phones, though it shows a few cosmetic differences. It supports MP3, AAC, AMR-NB, WAV, MIDI, and Windows Media Audio 9 format and includes shuffle, repeat, and playlists. But here again, we'd prefer real syncing software to help us manage and transfer our tunes. Instead, we had to drag and drop files while connecting the phone to a PC with the USB cable. It'd also be great to have a file manager so we could more easily find files from our SD card. ... |
