Digi Iphones are all baseband 5.12. I am worried these iphones cannot be jailbroken. I checked online and this 5.12 upgrade was launched in Feb 2010. Dev-Team said they are not working on any 5.12 JB and is waiting for OS 3.2 to be launched.
My questions are:
1. Should I hold back on buying DiGi Iphones?
2. Was there a time in JB history that it took more than 2-3 months for a JB of a new Firmware to be released ?

Added on April 5, 2010, 4:19 pmNo la friend... the baseband 5.12 has nothing to do with JB.. Rather it is for unlocker... Since you are using a unlock phone(DIGI/MAXIS etc.).. You no need to worry for any baseband update at the moment.. If geohot or dev team release a untethered JB for firmware 3.1.3... U just run it without the need to worry about the baseband update.. As, it is none of the business for a unlock iphone.. Sorry bro, I don't really understand. What I understand the is that an official unlock iphone can use any SIM card (Maxis/Singtel/Celcom) without any workaround. However, my worries is about what I read in Dev-team blog that they are not bothered to work on this 5.12.01 baseband. If so, then I won't be able to use Jailbreak Apps at all.

aptbackup i heard. However, i got problem installing it. Everytime I install it, this message appears - Error: Running Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
