Its normal, malaysian react to who shouts the loudest. And since the loudest shout was OMG IT SUCKS, tentatively the crowd follows.

My ideals are still the same, ill be getting it, testing and reviewing with falk. We've been discussing it over MSN for quite a while now and review wise is pretty balanced. At this point, the game is pretty much 5/10 since MP cant be reviewed. So, with MP included, you'd probably see the end result +/- 2 or 3.

Buttt, activision probably got their share of hate mail already

As expected.

MP is epic fail, even the design is good.

If you are thinking of getting MW2 for MP,forget it.I think even Borderland MP is way better.

Hmm, im thinking they were expecting more people within the same region to play instantaneously due to hype.

Technically, if there were 40 or more malaysians playing, we'd be matchmaked into the same game more often, assuming that was their intention. Nevertheless, they have the wrong idea.

People get excited through experience and hype, if the hype is good, people will still play, but if the experience is bad, they'll tell the rest of the world and their goal of regional players will most likely go up in flames.

The system they use is similar to the old BattleNet and much like how Blackshot functions as an authentication server.
From what Falk has said so far, and like what i told falk yesterday, IWnet and MW2 are like the glorified and nicer looking version of Blackshot. If you played the game, you'd know why.

Anyhoo, from what i've read, the only LAN capable part of the game is Coop.
Since a CC has been given the greenlight to install that part into their CC today, i would most likely be trying out that part.

One thing i need to mention is that, MW2 is not a total fail. Although not worth the cash, i feel that the game was rushed out to meet a deadline (which, not to mention is pretty obvious looking at the date "11/10/09"), seeing also the fact that a lot of things were "REMOVED" last minute or more like couldn't be added in time (in a very positive and flattered way of putting it) which could very well be added in the future easily.

Unlike consoles players who jump into campaigns more often than straight into MP, i believe(like many others) this is more of a console port over than an actual PC game. A good example would be Section 8, which was a total flop on PC, but still has a good gross income from the console market.

If you dont buy it now, you'd probably see this game about 100% cheaper in 3-6 months, probably going as low as RM 30 in the budget corner at youbeli.com.my in 9-12 months.

Falk has become a swear word now? HAHHAA

What kind of retarded version of CoD4 LAN have you been playing where you can't create classes?

To answer the question, since you quoted my post, the emphasis is that it should be exactly like online play except that the host is on the same LAN (i.e. LAN pings)

This would require a huge amount of Original Keys.
That wouldnt be a problem, since TF2 and L4D uses a system specially made for cybercafes, Dynamic Steam Client something, that auto assigns a key to a player. Since its gonna be just plain pub, i would highly doubt anyone would care about stats, if they do, they can just buy their own account.

Out of 600 cybercafes in the Klang Valley, probably only 1 percent is steam enabled, leaving any possible community to be home grounded or in those 1 percent of Cybercafes.

So yeah, the new whatever vice president of Activision my brother met last year, who talked about community development, can go skrew himself in the assh. Falking idiot.

haha, true that. But again, limiting accessibility of a game never wins the longevity game.

As for the steam account, i would only have 1 game anyhow, since i hate steam that much. smile.gif

uh, benefits them in a sense they dont have to release intellectual property that may be host to pirated copies of the game.

Plenty of pirated servers out there for COD4, if you havent noticed.
