Can someone please clarify if the free copy of WoW you get from GSC includes a 30-day subscription as well? And if so, is the 30-day subscription a separate pass that you can use with an existing WoW account?

It includes 30 days of free game time for that copy of the game. I don't think it is a separate pass. Anyway, you can simply buy game time if you earn enough in game gold. WOW has been F2P in some fashion for a year.

Don't think there is any character boost because it is simply a free copy of the game. And there is no longer a boost to level 90 because WoD expansion is no longer for sale, instead WoD content is included in the free copy.

The only boost available now is level 100 boost, which requires buying the Legion expansion before it is released.

I already have an existing - but lapsed - WoW subscription. Haven't logged in for around 5 months now. Existing guild was dying, and I have way too many toons to make transferring to another server a viable option .

Since I am pretty much being dragged into watching Warcraft in the cinema next week, I was just wondering if I could use the 30-days for my existing account to poke about when the pre-Legion event starts.

Thanks to the movie, I'm itching to return and have a peek at WoW. 31GB to download, that's gonna take days if not weeks for me via Streamyx! Due to insufficient Gold for F2P, and no subscription... Damn, it's quite a turn off, haha.

Now, I'm itching for the pre-purchase so I can go up to Level 100 instantly with a new toon!

Which reminds me, would WoW work if I copy and paste the World of Warcraft folder from one PC to another PC? I remember reading that it would work just fine many-many-many years ago...

Yes copy will work. It will probably still download the small battle.net client if your other PC does not have it yet.

Just like u I've been itching to have a peek at wow but after downloading it and playing it for 15 mins I can't stand it anymore. Very old combat system unlike guild wars 2 or other mmorpg.

What it includes is 30days game time for a new account, not a free 30 days game time for an existing account. And the free account is upgraded to warlords of draenor.

Guys is the 30 day game time enough to farm gold to buy token? I stop for 5 years recently came back take a peek with my low lvl toon and feel like re-activating as a social fun time with minimal commitment and hope can still get token every month to keep going w/o paying.

Anyone with real token farming experience can tell me how regular you need to be online to do so?
