QUOTE(DarkNite @ Mar 5 2012, 12:03 PM) Liddat must try Garmin Onboard. Nowadays the MFM map is very big and the Garmin MobileXT is have trouble processing it. You place the MFM map which folder in iPhone? Follow the steps shared above (or several previous posts in this thread). You need to set the file permission inside iPhone also. I have no problem using it and navigation. However, now searching which folder to put those Custom POI in iPhone.

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Mar 5 2012, 04:27 PM) You mean no POI in navigation mode? How about Text-to-Speech? Does it tells you the road name? MFM POI = got. Can search POI as usual like GMXT. Only those Custom POI like speed reminder don't have (yet). Text-to-Speech got. e.g "in 100m, turn left", "turn left, then turn right"

QUOTE(work_tgr @ Mar 5 2012, 05:18 PM) Can you guys give the results why should I get GPS apps ? Results or reason ? It depends whether you want an integrated GPS app in your phone, or you prefer standalone dedicated GPS. Both have pros and cons. But, if you are very good with roads and can go everywhere without ever looking at maps or asking for directions, then you don't need GPS

Probably more confusing than distance It's not that weird, same as an ang-moh asking for directions / road names in KL. CODE Turn left/right into Jae-lane Tune Rae-zack

QUOTE(chokia @ Feb 10 2013, 10:22 AM) I've been using Google Maps with turn-by-turn voice navigator as sole GPS for my Galaxy Note. Now feel like so cacat without it on IP5. Why until today no one activate it Google Maps on IP5? JB? Google Maps already out. But have to login using iTunes US account to download. I'm using Waze (traffic condition) and Papago (POI search).

QUOTE(chokia @ Feb 15 2013, 08:19 PM) U mean google maps with turn-by-turn voice navigation? Not sure got voice or not, but this is the routing from my iPhone 5.
I use Papago and Waze normally. Never use google map for routing, except to check map areas only.

QUOTE(chokia @ Feb 18 2013, 11:36 AM) On Itune Store, Google maps description clearly state "Get voice guided, turn-by-turn driving directions." Source: https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/google-maps/id585027354?mt=8but in real thing no voice whatsoever. Your point being ? Did you lodge a complain/comment with iTunes/AppStore ? QUOTE(chokia @ Feb 18 2013, 11:36 AM) Waze is ok , a bit annoying at times with its notification and point collecting things. Papago interface on Iphone 5 really like crap i m about to delete this. Wonder if i should buy USD$29 sygic (SG and MY). You can turn off all the notifications. Waze is good since the traffic and road condition updates are quite accurate and smart enough to change route when heavy traffic is detected and found a faster route. Interface for Garmin/Papago/Sygic/TomTom/etc. are all subjective, depending on each individual preference.
