papago is good enough for me to travel. Already wait a good GPS for iPhone for few years, at least Papago! came out, so far no problem to use it, better than nothing. About Garmin, wait so many years, no sign of it. Now at least got US non-offline map version of Garmin for iPhone, if Garmin still use online map, papago still the best choice for that time.

I used samsung G800 Garmin mobile XT and HTC Touch Diamond Garmin as well, both work pretty good. Garmin vs Papago! of course garmin better.

But now for iPhone, I use Papago! The apps work really well, although of the lag user interface, it never bring me the wrong way, every time I explore new place, Papago! do the right job and I can use it without facing any problem.

I'm using iPhone 3GS since Dec 2009, that time we don't even have Papago! yet, Tomtom and Sygic don't have the latest map in Malaysia. Soon after that, Papago! release with mfm map. Can say the best GPS nav software on iPhone (So far), as we don't have much choice.

Garmin StreetPilot already available for US, how long will it take to come to Malaysia? No offline map, much data will consume if you are GPS heavy user.

For now, I still recommend Papago!

The GPS is based on location service setting, that why turn 3G off won't effect the signal, but A-GPS does use up your data. But papago doesnt use A-GPS.

I think our only option for a complete Malaysia map on iPhone is Papago!

Dont think Garmin will release a Malaysia Version though... If got, early release already...

But considered lucky already got at least 1 GPS app using MFM map.. Before when I get iPhone 3GS, dont have a good GPS app.
