Haha, you see the cultural difference here?

Just my humble opinion, nothing to do with other people.
Here goes.

Liverpool's tradition is to play clean football, from what I have seen since day 1 I supported Liverpool (correct me if I'm wrong).
Now N'gog dived, the fans and teammates and even Manager might criticize and the players will refrain from doing it too much if not ever again. Dirty playing is not encouraged. Well, that's the Liverpool I know.

On the other hand, other team(s) might have players diving in & out of games, still, they get no heavy critics from the fans / teammates / manger, so, they feel that it is ok to dive again and again. Sometimes, when they win a game by diving, they'll get the praise INTERNALLY if not in the public.

Again stressing that this is just my PERSONAL opinion, you're always welcomed to deny / agree to my statement as nobody is always right. smile.gif

+1

Not to say im condoning diving, but in the context of how our season is fast unbecoming, I think Rafa will be thanking Ngog for that laugh.gif

About Gerrard, yes, I have to agree with Sols. How often do we see Gerrard arguing with the referee to get his teammates out of trouble? Look at Giggs, and Terry for instance. Great captains, and they try their best to help their mates to wriggle out of any potential trouble. No need to talk about Ferdinand.. he's a different case altogether. He rapes the referee's mind, and forces decisions.

But in a way, Gerrard's acts are good. He doesn't pile pressure on the referee, doesn't do shit on the field or yell lots of foul language to the officials like "some" captains do on a regular basis. I think this is a mark of a great captain. That's why he has the respect from nearly every club fan, and "some" captains don't.

Yes, I agree with Sols, he shouldd stick up for his mates more, but even if he doesn't, I still feel Gerrard is the best man for the team. Even the players feel so as well as far as I'm concerned. For instance, Kuyt was the captain till Gerrard came on, and Kuyt rushed to Gerrard and handed him the band the right BEFORE he stepped into the pitch. That shows how much respect they have for him. Overall, I'd like a captain who is silent, does his job well, and gets respect.

I am saying so because I am the captain of my district football team biggrin.gif tongue.gif

haha

Rafa's super cool. He sets his own style, and doesn't follow asses like Fergie. He should f***ing be banned from watching any BPL matches, even on TV/computer for a year or so. f***ing thing moans about everything, but if they win, he'd praise the referee even if the referee made millions of errors.

Well said PB21, uncannily it somehow reminds me to a few weeks back, where some "fan" had the audacity to compare Gerrard and Jonny Evans laugh.gif

i wonder where did dis fella dig all this news about RvN and Forlan now???  i don't think we need another striker so badly.  we need someone in the middle to replace Alonso.

We got Aquaman and Lucas...why still need another in the middle? shakehead.gif

talking about last nite's match..i was lucky to be seated beside an Everton fan at the mamak yesterday...very rare indeed...his comments just made me go lol...

Everton Fan: Aiya Liverpool took 80 mins to score 2nd goal ah...useless..

I answered, Everton take 100 minutes also cannot score against Liverpool...he went wtf and left his table... laugh.gif

I cant stand the sight of that prick Cahill, gave me a weird satisfaction when Masch and Lucas took turns to bring that **** down on his ass laugh.gif

The biggest piece of crap they call a pundit has to be Paul Masefield. He's arrogant, he's self-centred plus he looks downright like a egoistical d***.

He speaks as if he knows the world about the game but just take a look at his "glittering" career. I believe he never made than 10 bloody starts for any club he has played for. And we're talking about illustrious clubs like Bromsgrove Rovers, Jurong FC, Stockport County and PNE.

What a tosser.

great players dont make great managers

but shitty players make great pundits?

talkin about the pundits the only person i respect among all the pundits is Jamie Reeves, he put his point in a very eloquent manner, unlike the load of horsecrap dribbling out of those other guys'..another one comes to mind...Patrick Kinghorn...what a wanker'

that kid Cassanova is one character aye' laugh.gif certainly lights up the mood whenever he posts here...

coming back to this weekend match...I think Torres should get a runout probably the last 20minutes or so, Ngog is doing a half decent job already, against Blackburn he should be adequate till Torres comes in ,

but my concern in will Aquaman start this weekend? its certainly primed for him to take center stage, primetime kickoff, at Anfield against another side whom are struggling themselves. I've seen enough of Lucas and Masch, hoping that its going to be combo of Lucas+Aqualani or Masch+Aqualani

but knowing Rafa im not gonna keep my hopes high..
