He is still safe, not just for the sake of contract. He has brought us victories such as UCL 2005 and some minor cups. Last season we finished without a silverware but we ended second in the EPL just few points behind ManU. We'll just see at the end of the season, maybe? smile.gif

5-6 years after he took over the management of the club and the only thing he can boast about is a UCL silverware.. great.. oh and also the entire team is reliant on only 2 players, 1 which he inherited.

if torres can get us $100M, i dont really mind      tongue.gif

I am trying to post something constructive here this time.

I dont think 100m would do Liverpool any good if the manager dont knows how to spot good players.
To back up comment, please look at the 76 signing Rafael Benitez has made and how many of them have been really outstanding? I guess you could count it in 1 hand, or rather 1 finger namely Fernando Torres.

While you try your best to make us looks bad, you actually didn't realize that you are making us looks better than the rest. We stood by the team when they are down...The loyalty, the supports we gave...Thanks for highlight that again and again... biggrin.gif
Well, loyalty ain't gonna make them win games thats for sure.
And I was kinda moved when everyone was complimenting about an ex man utd player here.

When we make out of this alive, we'll at least have one scar to remember;

that we never walked alone, we sat through that THICK and THIN with the club.
Our posts here are our proofs.
Well, every club goes through thick and thin times. But Liverpool's "thin" period is suprisingly long and I doubt it will stop soon.
Funny how that Liverpool beat Manchester United 3 times consecutively but they have never been able to top them at all.

at this point, save Aquilani for what? by the time we save him and preserve him...nothing much to play for already perhaps...

There are still many unknown variables why Rafael Benitez is unable to field Aquilani such as not 100 percent fit, H1n1, or maybe thought his attributes cannot contribute much against the defense of Debrecen and would much rather prefer the attribute of Lucas for that particular match.

haha not the best in my opinion, its one of the best, theres only two best striker of my choice, torres n drogba but my choice goes to drogba, maybe chelsea is more all rounded team thats why drogbas performance is very good. as for liverpool they very much rely on torres and gerrard.
*
Are you sure? Well, Torres to me is a better striker for goalscoring. The reason Drogba seems better currently is because he's a Chelsea, a more stable club currently. Torres to me is Liverpool's most vital player by far, yes miles ahead of Gerrard. Why? Because of what he contributes to the teams.. The goals, his quite footwork is able to change the game just like that even if the overall game of Liverpool isnt that great, and more importantly his finishing is really good ( which is what Liverpool is lacking now ). Overall, Liverpool tends to suffers when they are without him, be it playing well or not, they just can't play the same way in the third quarter of the field without Torres.

Well if you think about it, selling Torres may not be such a bad idea. The reason is he may be able to fetch quite a high price from clubs who are willing to pay ( Man City, Real Madrid comes into mind ) and also with that money, Liverpool may be able to strengthen the entire squad thoroughly.
Yes, Liverpool may miss the flair and panache of their best striker, but getting more depth is more important if they were to mount a serious challenge on any major competition. Winning one game dont count if you're losing the rest in any competition.

How many player can make immediate impact in a foreign league in their 1st season? Torres is an exceptional case.

How do you know he's not Torres material when he has played less than 20 minutes for Liverpool?

I don't think so. I really don't. How are those three supposed to break down all the attacks? You can't expect Carra and Agger to do double duties can you? We will just concede more goals..
*
Whats wrong with playing only 1 holding midfield?
I mean if you throw another midfielder like Aquilani inside that sits higher up than Mascherano and Lucas, your midfield are expect to dominate possesion and you shouldnt really have to worry about defence much if you have more man in the midfield area to break incoming potential attack before they are even created. And also there are not much team that could play counter attack effectively like the old Man Utd to exploit the lack of holding midfield.
