If today's match is what Benitez could do with an injury stricken team, and looking at previous selection, I think I may have an idea what Benitez is trying to achieve with his defensive line.

about glenny and insua's play today, they were more attacking than defense. and I am not very fond of this type of game because it'll make skrtle and agger's job difficult if they had strong attacking wingers that'll break them apart.

And now that Riera's out already, I suppose Insua would continue making attacking runs. But both Johnson and Insua did pretty well smile.gif Benny was a little quiet though.

Attacking wingbacks are good for overlapping, and they provide good cover for central too when needed.

Hence the need for defensive midfieldiers to clamp down and make good passes so that the wingers can make their runs and break down the defenses.

For this match, its lively.

But we've conceded 2 VERY EASY goals.

The most important 45minutes for Rafa

I wont be surprised if he get sack right after the match.

Whether it's his tactic or the players' faults, the yanks couldn't care less.
