hey fellas. i plan 2 upgrade new casing from my existing raidmax casing. budget was rm550 maximum. purpose is 2 fit the upcoming hd7970 without cramp which is surely very long.

i was considering the 600T until i saw the bittech review. it says the 600T sucks in cooling n its better off taking the RV02 instead. i like 2 know more the members experience who owns either both casing. is it really that bad the 600T s the review claims?

here r the links. great cooling performance on the stock processor fan matters 2 me the most along with stock cooling gpu.

600T

RV02
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/201...n-rv02-review/3
*
If its air cooling, I'd recommend the RV02 over the 600T wink.gif if possible, be sure u get the RV02-E... they changed the HDD cage and sports newer AP181 fans at the bottom which improves the overall cooling capabilities of the RV02 wink.gif

Hey guys, I am planning to upgrade my casing between these 3. My main objective is to have the best casing in terms of air flow.

Someone has suggested for me to go down the Watercooling route, however I am not quite sure on how to find the parts for Watercooling.

My processor would be the core i5 2500k with Asus P8Z68-V motherboard. Gpu would be Leadtek GTX580

Fans would be ARCTIC F Pro PWM

What do you guys think?

HAF 912 Advanced vs HAF922 vs CM 690 II
*
i would say the 912 advanced would be better as it has USB3.0 ports ready at the front.. but now that I thought about it.. Coolermaster and some other vendors are selling the 3 1/4" bay adaptor for front panel USB3.0 I guess there should be some in the garage sale as well

Can sifu help me decide between one of the following?

CM Elite 430
Thermaltake v3

I believe both the above are on the same price. Was thinking alot about Corsair CC400R due to great reviews but end up with them due to cost-driven...

P/S: Plan to get a MSI P67A-C45 B3 with i5 2500K and GTX560 TI, want to try some light OC in future =)
*
both are fine and kinda on par with each other so its up to your tastes wink.gif

Any USP-100-looking casing below USP-100 price?

Added on November 22, 2011, 8:26 amor any cooler looking one will be nice biggrin.gif
*
LOL I don't think that any casing will have USP100's design... sry bro..

cooler looking?? to me the USP100 is not that cool looking (no offence) cause its not to my taste.. different ppl will have different perspectives.

Assuming ur budget is RM190...maybe u wanna try the Thermaltake Soprano Rs101?? tongue.gif or maybe the Dokker??

there no dust filter on top right?
*
Why would you want a dust filter on the top of the chassis?? Imho its not needed there because its designed to vent out air and not as an intake, so I don't think dust would fall in from the top

^ I'm gonna have to agree with CyntrixTech on that one front looks are too agressive for my taste as well.. plus it looks like its gonna be harder to clean/wipe the dust off every corner

Guys, I'm looking for a small, light and cheap casing that can fit a 9" graphics card. Emphasis on the small and cheap. What choices do I have? Was previously looking at a Cooler Master Elite 360 but then I did some research and found out that it cannot fit my Palit 9600GT. Thanks! biggrin.gif
*
What is your budget?? a 9600GT isn't actually a very long GPU... Maybe the elite 343?? the HDD cage can be removed... smile.gif

*
on the 5.25" bay drive of course smile.gif use the adaptor... unless u have more than 2 HDD then whistling.gif I'm out of ideas for "small & cheap" usually "small but expensive" got la tongue.gif

*
Well of the same size, maybe something from Thermaltake A30 or Silverstone Sugo series but they're pricey compared to the CM elites

Wow, so it's either a sub RM100 casing or a above RM300 casing? tongue.gif nothing in between?
*
Not that I have seen, nope.. unless u wanna go and look at brands that are not so famous like powerlogic or sharkoon then its a different matter... although I don't see it on pricelists as often so its kinda hard to recommend something not well known

^ if u noticed the official site, the weight is not mentioned on the tech specs tongue.gif

The 800D is a great case if u wanna gripe about it then it has to be the materials... IMHO pure aluminium would get the fanboys drooling non-stop but I guess cost comes into mind when doing something like this

Erm... budget still not sure yet.. Silverstone temjin is the TJ07? how about price for cosmos pure?

& cosmos pure dont have front fan?
*
I dunno if they still have TJ07... saw a few TJ11 though...

To tell the truth, I haven't been seeing any CM cosmos on the shelves for quite some time.... its an old product actually and not many shops will have them for sale anymore... best bet is to look at the garage sale

maybe another good chioce is the CM storm trooper? or the Corsair 800D?

*
u can fit 2x 240 rad inside the CM690II actually top and bottom and yes the bottom have intakes for dual 120mm fans once u removed the HDD cage wink.gif

I'd assume that it does in a way but unless u have direct contact between the CPU/GPU core to the chassis chances are ur only transferring a minimum amount of heat to the chassis.... thats Y we keep a good airflow in the chassis to expell the hot air instead

Hi guys, want to buy new casing for my systems & i considering getting AEROCOOL ATX CASING STRIKE X, is this a good choice in terms of pricing (rm195), ventilation system of the casing etc....

or recommend to me any other better casing, budget rm200...

TQ smile.gif
*
The chassis is ok I guess... front panel looks a tad bit fancy to me though... u can try the Cooler Master elite series such as the 431 or even the USP100 wink.gif

Added on January 15, 2012, 2:02 amis there any case like the this GIGABYTE MIB T5142
that combine the casing with the monitor stand.. bcoz i wanna setup the less space rig for my parent pc... wanna know if these casing can insert psu or not.. bcoz it seems so small biggrin.gif
*
Well the gigabyte chassis u mentioned has its own PSU.. cause its meant for HTPC and is to sit in the living room where u would normally place the dvd player... but in regards to the stand to mount a monitor onto the PC shassis itself... there is not a lot thats known in the local market

Added on January 15, 2012, 4:35 pmThe above is by chieftec but I do not think its available locally

I'd suggest that u get a table mounting instead where the monitor will be suspended over the working space but still mounted at the side

u can find these for about RM200+ in LYP wink.gif
