Hi guys, thinking of getting a mid tower. Either HAF 922, cm 690 2 advanced(cool hard disk dock but dont think ill be using it alot) or thermaltake element S. which one has better airflow? from what i have checked in reviews HAF 922 has best airflow among all three? but have no dust filters..anywhere I can get dust filters for all the intake fans? for the haf 922, for the one with the transparent side window, can i install a fan there? just want to ask also, will a bigger fan take in more air into the casing?
or any other recommendations for other casings? am looking for a case which has the external esata port, external usb 3.0 (optional but would love it if the case has it), dust filters for all the intake fans which are easily removable and a transparent side window where a side fan can be put. Am looking at the specs below. Will the 3 casings above fit all these? CORE I5 760 ASUS P7P55D-E LX P55 A-D3 SGLRF CORSAIR PC1333 gaming ASUS GTX460 TOP 1GB D5 / GTX465 DVD-RW 24X SATA CORSAIR 650W TX Thank you for the recommendations sifus here! I am going to buy a new casing, HAF X, sometime at the end of this year. However I do notice that the intake part for the PSU does not have any dust filter (based on some reviews I read and user feedback) unlike some other cases e.g: Corsair 600T. I am very concerned about dust, so my questions are:
1. Will I be able to install a dust filter without any modding? If it is possible can someone guide/link me to where I could buy said item? 2. Or is it OK for me to leave it like that? Won't the PSU be damaged since it could collect a lot of dust in there? ATM I am using USP100 and the interior is somewhat dusty considering it is less than 1 month old. I don't even know how it could accumulate that much dust in 2 weeks time. It really feels like living in the middle of desert where sand is everywhere and rushing to get into my casing, or someone purposely threw a bag of dust in there. EDIT: 3. With all the fans, do I need to upgrade my PSU? Currently using i5 and 5770 and probably going to upgrade to 6870. Sounds like a stupid question but I'm really new to this kind of thing. My budget is tight so my options are either TT v3 or CM 430 which I heard have a nice air flow but bad cable management. But the problem is I heard lots of people talking the top fan can't fit because of the cpu cooler. I'm using hyper 212 atm. So any recommendation for <150rm case?

but the selling price for the shop tat providing warranty is not attractive.
so i wanna make sure whether local distributor is giving any warranty or not. if distri do provide warranty then i will juz get the cheapest, if anything happen then i will straight away look for distributor instead. so the warranty only covers buttons, fans, IO port and cables rite? they didnt cover for metal chasis rite? |

AMenzZ say can fit. i also not sure. i think can.
i remember a video say scout can fit 12 inch graphic card. 6850 is 11.5inch so still have 0.5 inch for power cable. This post has been edited by xngjn: Dec 1 2010, 03:15 PM |
