Just got my HAF932 and V8. But not yet fixing anything yet. Thinking of powder-coating the interior, waiting for supplier's quotation. If too expensive doing in JB, may bring to overseas to do (Singapore lah

QUOTE(lcs87 @ Nov 7 2009, 10:04 AM) does any haf932 user here experiencing rust problem? it seems mine have some minor rust on the edges (the part where the metal was cutted and not painted) that's why i am thinking spray paint or powder coating the interior (the unpainted parts) when it is new. Time to do some mod to your casing. |

as requested by yuktsi14, here is "bare naked metal edition" of my HAF932. Sending it for powder coating tomorrow, so need to strip off all the non-metal parts. I have cut out the side panel mesh with cutter - took damn long time to do. No dremel, so no choice. Thus, it leaves a jagged edge but I kinda like it as it has its own style (actually lazy to file it).
![]() Close-up of the cut side panel. I left 4 mesh holes at the 4 corners to tighten acrylic on to it later with nice bolts and nuts. ![]() |

QUOTE(ikan_semilang @ Nov 20 2009, 04:09 PM) S$50, excluding my petrol sending it "overseas". Other than the great looking black finish, the main reason for the powder coating is actually to prevent rust. My 6 years old Raidmax steel casing has some rust at the bottom and the fan grill area. Since the HAF932 is not cheap, invest in powder coating should prolong the useful life of it. |

Update some final photo shots. Need to find some nice bolt and nuts to put on the side panel. At the moment, this is it. Put on self modded new shiny smoke colour acrylic.

QUOTE(kInOzAwA @ Nov 24 2009, 02:48 PM) smoke acrylic looks so nice ler... interior-wise looks like this case is more expensive than its stock looks.. anyway you need to put some filter to avoid dust factory factor... wow.. you can read my mind. I think Noctua and Ram cannot be found in Msia officially.
I bought it from Spore - Noctua is via an MO - S$120 (RM294). Ram you can bought it at many Sim Lim Square (similar to Lowyat Plaza) shops - S$179 (RM439). Ram specs - PC3 12800 DDR3 LV 1600 MHz CL7 QUOTE(tuonn @ Feb 2 2010, 10:21 PM) I order them according to my HAF932 windows but I need to drill the holes for screws and file the corner to be rounded. This post has been edited by Cynox: Feb 3 2010, 10:36 AM |
