nice one cynox biggrin.gif
i guess, ordering from overseas is the only way to get nice hardware since malaysia is kinda limited

Generally computer hardware in msia now is cheaper than Spore. Only for certain items worth to go Spore to buy.

But if the prices are the same in Msia and Spore, normally I will cross the causeway to get it coz service centre in Spore are much better. You bring the faulty parts there and normally you will get the replacement on the spot unless it is EOL and they need to send it back to Taiwan for repair. This is very important for mobo, psu, and ram coz i dun have a spare in hand. Else, I will have no PC to use for as long as the service is done, normally a month in JB coz JB need to send it back to KL distro then only they RMA. rclxub.gif

BTW, how is the distributors' service centre in KL? Do you normally get a replacement on the spot?

What means 'via MO'?
Last month, I visited Sim Lim but didn't notice such products being display? What shop specifically selling these products.
Thanks

MO means Mass Order - something like bulk order. The distributor of Noctua in Spore did a MO and offer the first batch at a better price. As this is the first batch arriving in Spore, you can't find it in Sim Lim. Even now, you also can't find them as the first batch all taken by us who ordered thru the MO. Dun know when will the next batch come in, most likely next month, but definitely at a much higher price. As the same distro also selling Megahalem and his price is higher than LYN here except for the first batch which priced very attractive. But I notice like no one selling Noctua products here at LYN.

hi, hahn87: Yes, the ram is good for OC, can run at 2,000Mhz at CL9 no sweat. You sure it can't oc well with i5-750? I not yet try - will run the whole system at stock for maybe 2-3 weeks to make sure everything rock stable then only will start oc it.

yea because the the dram:BCLK ratio on the i5 750 is stuck with 2:8 and u need  2:10 to get it up to 2000mhz with 200mhz BCLK.
u are pretty much stuck with 1600mhz max on the core i5 750 or just a little higher... a matter of how high u can bring up the BCLK. like u can push it to 220mhz BLCK which u devide by 2 and then multiply by 16 u get 1760mhz.
something liddat.
in case u wonder why 16 is actually multiply with 8 1st then multiply by 2 again. 8 being the ratio so u get around 880mhz DDR then multiply by 2 to get ur DDR3 speed.

Added on February 3, 2010, 2:16 pminitially wanted to get the NH-D14 for my current LGA775 but.... my ram is too tall =( and also dunno how and where to get it also coz it's very unlikely for me to go down to singapore

thanks for the explanation but it is still rclxub.gif for me. I will look at it again when it is time. My OC knowledge on AMD S939 is totally useless on this new platform. laugh.gif Everything need to re-learn.

In fact, I was thinking of organise a small bulk (3 units or 4 units max) here if some bro here interested but after considering its massive size (difficult to sneak thru the Custom), I decided just to get for myself. I think computer parts are tax free but sometime it is hard to argue with those custom official if you buy too many stuff. doh.gif So best just to avoid that situation.

But maybe I can do a bulk for RAM if some of you interested in it.
