my CM 750 real power pro dunno that 10 meter enuf to sleeve or not =.=
*
you need at least 40 meters bro.. biggrin.gif
but mine using 20 meters for sleeving the fans, pumps, ATX extension, fan controller, pcie cable... others not enough... i think if i want to sleeve all the things need at least another 40 meters.. especially for the long ATX cable. biggrin.gif

I buy one 1st lah...can't afford 7 fans...way too expansive  sweat.gif
probably next week..but I can't promise anything.
RM455 + summore money + wait till June = HAF X
that is better  biggrin.gif
*
woww RM65? it's the same like my current Scythe S-Flex fan's price... But CM excalibur only have a special removable fan, that's all the unique part which rate can handle a hot radiator (but not sure it's good or not yet~!) nothing more superb than a Gentle Typhoon, TFC Triebwerk or Noiseblocker fans. sweat.gif

Time to change to CM V6 GT

hey previously you said to upgrade to alienware right? laugh.gif go grab wc parts dude, it's a lot cheap nowadays... even my current TFC 360 + 240 has been dropped hundred of RM per piece in price thru Clawhammer. cry.gif

Bought it for RM260
I went for a Samsung since it's proven that the Spinpoint F3 is better than Caviar Black

performance-wise yes, but warranty-wise no biggrin.gif

i previously have all 4 xigmatek black fin fan at sidepanel as intake one. decide to have more exhaust than intake.. move 3 fan up.. left 1 fan dunno put where so i ikat there lor ahha. i am changing my venomous X direction to face up. dunno performance can be better or not =/
*
errr mean the push fan facing the bottom on venomous-x? and pull fan will be facing the top? i think it's still perfect since the top fans got triple exhaust.. but it's better if you mount as per standard which the pull fan located nearby the back exhaust fan.. smile.gif

it's not about good or not, but depends... actually you can prefer any setup you think it's good enough for the temperature.. maybe you need to test on both setup which one have a good numbers on temperature itself wink.gif

not sure about the GX series PSU. but going to get one GX750 for a friend on his new build in about 2 weeks time. see how long can it last xD.
*
last time my friend bought a GX750 too. i think it's ok since its rated running as real power on single rail PSU, but the size also quite shorter if compared to another series and cheap too biggrin.gif

And got any pics of the CM 690 advanced? brows.gif

maybe you need to check back your warranty dude..

WD caviar black = 5 years warranty
Samsung Spinpoint F3 = 3 years warranty (cycom said that, but i've seen somewhere it only offer 2 years warranty.. hahahaha)

a lot of people i know say gx series is mainstream and not good for high end or gaming rigs

oc can spark your com
*
whose the people? they also use the same series? hahahaha.. that's seems like more like a rumour to me,, but not a truth dude... GX can handle well you know... it's a single rail PSU which is better on overclocking / gaming. It's the same like the golden Seasonic OEM made PSU like Corsair TX series... you need to do more research regarding single rail than catching somebody who didn't know much about pc, but they do talk crap / talkcock like that doh.gif

Added on March 16, 2010, 6:09 pmmainstream or not is not a problem, Corsair, Coolermaster, Gigabyte all of them are the mainstream. i Lol'ed it again for your pathetic friend who said that. if you really want a non-maintream get a Tagan PSU.. but where are they now? biggrin.gif

i believe on JonnyGuru review for the PSU. why? because it's hardly you see that jonny gives good points for any of psu manufacturer / vendor without testing it first. If it's bad he would gives a bad points too... hence, he said that lately CM comes with a good PSU vendor and quality.. so, CM psu is no more crap like the past!~ laugh.gif

it's not overrated actually but certain method make sense on why its so expensive biggrin.gif

remember that another thing because it's was american company... the price would be higher in terms of currency transparency compared to taiwan / china brand. smile.gif

QUOTE(tuonn @ Mar 24 2010, 08:53 PM)
i thought gx series power supply it's not recommended becoz it can affect ur hardware component...
here some review i heard...
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/917/10
*
i don't see there is major drawback on GX series. It supposed have enough juice to power up your pc unless if you thought of building a monster rig, but i bet you won't right? i you do that you'll not pickup the GX series, but maybe a 1000W corsair or CM real power / silence psu. wink.gif

Sometimes, not all the reviews said is right, it's subjective i must say, it's more about sense of the editor itself. Pick-up what's best on your own preference, let be what others say either it's right or not. You make your own decision. biggrin.gif

Remember the old time when a lot of rumors about PSU efficiency and load power of the rigs? hahaha.. nowadays it's different, in the old days a lot people prefer the big wattage on power supply if they build the monster rig but nowadays even 750w can powered up a quad sLi / CF setup and 500W is still enough to run an i7 rig with single GPU. wink.gif

LOL not very efficient. you have to remember our PSU is at it's peak efficiency at 50% load.
@tuonn
don't just read one review and judge because not every product is perfect and not all reviewer may get a good unit.

oh and btw heard some bad experience about the silent pro models. from a friend work in shop. maybe is that old batch problem. like the new batch CM 90CFM fan tend to die fast
*
woww... silent pro model supposed to be good in a new batch. Their OEM PSU maker is just the same like what gigabyte used. Maybe it's coincidence because of the young lin OEM fan maker.. laugh.gif
