RM1000 for how many days? If you stay budget hotel and eat simple hawker food or kopitiam, I believe RM1000 should be enough for 5 days at least.

I plan to go Hong Kong next year, maybe in June or July or December. I got friends in Hong Kong and maybe can ask them bring me around so I save on transportation. Maybe stay budget hotel or my friend's house. Want to visit my friend which working as air stewardess for Cathay Pasific.

Just to update the latest news I got about the climate in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong will experiencing the coldest Christmas since 80's. Estimate of 10 degree celsius. Cold and dry.
