well i think book everything by ourself sure cheaper than the package
many times i went to the agency to ask for pricing and they told me the cheap/special price only hv 30 slots per day, and i was like shit sure all gone la
than they will say, if dont hv the special rate u need to just add XXX amount on flight and XXX amount on the room rate .. deee .. which eventually become more expensive

Well, the Weather probably would be much better compared with Genting, its much cooler. Metropark Hotel did not came into my consideration during my initial planning as the prices wasn't cheap as compare to Dorsett Seaview or either Bridal Tea House when i chekced , both went to my last options and the prices HK about 400 HK per Night which equal to RM180++ in Msia and location is easily connected to either MongKok Station, Yau Ma Tei with credits alot of food to catch up in Yau Ma Tei esp in the night. They may be several reason i pick either 2 of that, 1st is close to all the nice stuff i wanna get n find in, 2nd is alot of ppl shall be gather around in Mongkok, Tung Choi Street, Fa Yuen Street or Sneakers Street during night time.. I not into comments of anys why MetroPark is not good or why i did not pick, just tat i'm not that familiar and getting less feedback about MetroPark.. Apparently, most of those famous blogger's perfers to visit Dorsett either Bridal, Dorsett look promising but remember to insist on "Non Smoking Room" and Bridal Tea House look pretty romance in term of their design & decoration.

Regard to localization, if you look into their map HongKong "Country" were actually splitted into fews areas or so called "States" like KL, Perak, Johor.. in Msia. So for HongKong right for the Main District they called in Hong Kong Island which covered ( Sheung Wang, Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, and so on.. ), Kowloon District( Mongkok, Tsim Sa Tsui, Jordan, Yau Ma Dei,  Prince Edward .. etc), Lantau Island ( Tung Chung <-- Ngong Ping cable car located , Sunny Bay <-- DisneyLand located) , New Territories ( Lo Wu <-- this is the station will enter to Shen Zhen , Yuen Long .. etc )

*HongKong island is not the Country but is like a district similar to stated, somehow they named it into HongKong and confuse ppl like us as foreigner's.

If you staying in Mongkok, which located in Kowloon District and travel to Centrel in HongKong Island is not difficult at all.. You have too respect on your MTR transportation it build all in one to connect all the places to be visit all around the place in HK. let me put this way so you may follow exactly take MongKok Station--> Look for the MTR Lane Board which Visible to "Central", usually they have left and right lane ( the opposite is heading to differ direction, and those appeared in Grey Colour wording means this train didnot travel to they). In Mongkok Station you may find they have 2 lane, 1 is heading to Central and other 1 is heading to *** Keng Leng ( They used the last station as their direction heading as marking to allow you easily recognise which lane is heading to which location tat bypast).

Time Square is located in Causeway Bay aka Tung Lo Wan if not mistaken but some attraction may reach upon the station n walk few minutes, some may required u reach the station to take taxi to due to quite a distances for walking so no point. ( 4 person sharing 1 taxi is worth TRUST ME, is not that expensive as other ppl comments in here but is something u need to know whether suitable to take taxi or not during peak hour or non-pick hour).

Let me know if you still required any info..  quite free today at home.. lol icon_rolleyes.gif

Airport Express cannot reach Yau Ma Tei directly. You have to interchange Tsuen Wan Line at Lai King Station, and get off at Yau Ma Tei Station finally. I think taking a bus will be more convenient than AEL.... You can take A21 bus, then alight at either Man Ming Lane or Nathan Hotel. You can refer here :
https://www.nwstbus.com.hk/routes/routeinfo...&exactMatch=yes

thanks northisan, but i see on the map, by taking airport express, there is stop at kowloon rite, so can i alight there and take a cab to dorsett? or should i get down a hk stop and take cab from there?

If you plan to take a cab, then of coz get off at Kowloon Station la.... 'coz the hotel is at the Kowloon side, if you get off at Hong Kong Station, it's at the Hong Kong Island side, and you've to pay for tunnel fee for the cab 'coz it needs to cross the harbour. Was your friend making joke with you? tongue.gif

ya lo thats why, i also wonder why she told me 'get down at hong kong and take cab'

Just got back from HK like 4 hours ago.

It was exceptionally cold this year, since I was also there in December last year. My skin is dry and red spots are popping up. Any remedies?

But the holiday was good smile.gif
