i stayed at this Bridal Tea House Yau Ma Tei for 4 nights during my visit to HK last chirstmas. It's still ok to put 2 big luggage, if 3 luggage will be difficult to move around. I pay around Rm190-200 per night for 2 person room during peak season. Booked the hotel through agoda.com.
The room is very clean, the bed is comfortable, the room decoration very nice, got LCD tv. Just the space is small, only suitable for small or average size person. Very very good location, Yau Ma Tei MRT station is just 2-3 min walk. Next to temple street. Lotsa of eateries around that area.

anyone here stay b4 in Bridal Tea House? is it a safe hotel? any review ^^ we plan on 3 people staying for 4 nights

There's many Bridal Tea House Hotel branches in HK. The one i stayed is Yau Ma Tei branch, which has very good location. It's not bad. I stayed there 4 nights last year during my visit to HK. It's safe, clean and nice decor. Just the room is small. Hardly has space to walk if you put all your bags and luggages on the floor. Price around Rm180-200 for a 2 person room. Recommended.

dear all, might need some advice frm u guys. i'll be going to HK n macau next mth. how many days u guys suggest to stay in macau? is 2D1N enough? or 3D2N is better? will it be too long? is sintra hotel in macau nice? how about ole london?

also, casa hotel in HK ok? recommend to stay?
*
Macau 2D1N would be enough. Unless you wanna explore ALL casinos in macau, you need 3 days. You should consider Sun Sun hotel too. Last time i stay in Sun Sun hotel which is just next to Ole London. The room is quite good. Walking distance to senado square. I have no idea about Sintra though.

Added on March 5, 2010, 1:59 pmCASA hotel in HK is good. Very convenient place to stay. It's just 30 seconds walk to YauMATei MRT station. I stay in another hotel in that area before. This area is where temple street is located, a lot of eateries and shops nearby.

Just curious - I am planning to join my friends for trip to HK in year end but I am not sure whether I want to stay in the mainland or HK island itself. If I want to see fireworks etc for year end celebration, would staying in Mongkok deters me from doing so?

Last year i watched fireworks from tsim sha tsui victoria harbourfront, pls be warned that hong kong is a crowded place, if you wish to have a full view of the buildings and fireworks, you need to go there early to avoid people jamming on the road during new year celebration. People went 3-4 hours earlier, sit there and wait. Else you don't even have a place to stand. I went there 1 hour before 12am, the road is blocked, only manage to see a bit of firework. And the weather at midnight is so cold and windy. About 14°C. Nevertheless it was the most unforgettable new year count down in my life.

Gud afternoon Northasian.Sorry if my question annoy you because I'm sure you have rcvd tons of questions abt HK.

My name is June and I'm planning to visit HK this Aug. Actually, working trip but I combine with leisure  laugh.gif

This is what we plan to do;

Day 01
Arrive by MAS at 1315hrs. Chk in hotel. We stay in Hotel Benito,Tsim Tsa Tsui. After chk in go to Avenue of Star and surrounding for phostopstop. Later that nite visit to Ladies Market.(or any other market worth our money?? I mean worth to shop)

Day 1 plan should be ok, just walk around tsim tsa tsui, wong kok area, a lot of shopping there.

Day 02
Visit Disney land and Citigate outlet (we don't intend to spend so much time in Disneyland. A little bit photo session here and there will be enough for us.)

Since you want to visit many places as possible, i suggest you visit Giant Buddha early in the morning, take cable car @ Ngong Ping (Tung Chung MRT station) about 9.30 or 10am, after visit Giant Buddha would be around 1pm, you could visit Citigate outlet for awhile, then about 3pm go to Disneyland and stay until firework show at night. If you think it's too rush, just skip the citigate shopping, visit citigate on your last day early morning before your departure since the location is near to airport.

Day 03
Visit The Peak, Victoria Park, Bouhimia Square, Longest Escalator and Ocean Park.

Visit The Peak in the early morning (visit The Madame Tussaud Wax Museum and Sky Terrace). Could skip bouhimia square, nothing much there. Then go to Ocean Park. At night visit Lan Kwai Foong in Central or Causeway Bay area for shopping. If you prefer night view at The Peak, you could swap the time.

Day 04
Day trip to Macau if time permitted other wise you can recommend us what else we shud include.

Take ferry to Macau in early morning, must visit Venetian Casino and Taipa Village (both near Macau Airport), and some major tourist spots in macau island.

Day 05
Flight departure back to KUL at 1445hrs.

Don't forget Wong Tai Sin Temple. You could make it in early morning.

Our plan is to visit as many places as possible. Shopping is also my top priority.Heheheheh!! I'm looking for stuff like Adidas,Levi's,perfume, cosmetics, bags. We don't follow any tours. We just take the train, tram or buses.

Do you think our programme above is good??
