Hi all,

Back from HK a week ago.. I was very happy that my Itenary worked really well and I went to all the places that I have planned out.

Once again I would like to thank moody for providing me a lot of tips and info.

P/S: A word of advice - No matter how prepared you are you will always need to e adventurous to find out more about a certain place in HK and don't be afraid to ask. Try to take more bus trip as I found out that taking bus trips are the best way to see the entire HK.

Cheers,
Kylie

biggrin.gif travelers' blogs are more useful than travel books

wanna go HK again? hehehehe

well some times bloggers are bias while the travel books gives a more accurate info in terms of the facts.so a combination of both will be the best..

ya was plannin to go again but this time focus more on scenery and hiking..

i'm going to HK on Aug next year.
i wanna search for hostel which located in Mongkok.
one thing that make me headache is the trip will go with 10 ppl (including me)
so anyone can suggest which hostel offer 5 ppl in a room?

Hi Darren,

You can try Dragon Hostel. It's situated @ the center of Mongkok and it's only 5 minutes walk to the MTR station. Don't cramp everyone into 1 room. Why not try 3 rooms with a combination of 3-3-4, then all of you will have more breathing space as places to stay in HK is pretty small and cramp.

Good luck in coordinating the trip as I just came back with the experience of having 10 people in the trip.

Thanks Kylie.
I manage to rearrange it. Btw, how about 鎂鎂賓館 and 銘家商務賓館, both are newly renovated.
I'll be staying there for 8 nights in HK and 1 night in Macau. Any nice and cheap hostel recommended in Macau?
*

Ur welcome, can't advise you on the stay over in Macau cos I only had a 1 day trip over at Macau which I felt was sufficient.
Not sure bout both of the other hotels, but you can try and ask around maybe other forummers had stayed there before.
