Hi All,

Will be travelling to HK on 30th April - 5th May next year. I wanted to get some advices on accommodation as my girl friend and my friend and I (total of 4) will be going on a free and easy trip to HK during that period. Had surveyed quite some websites on hotels and motels but can't decide yet where to stay and which will be a good/decent and cheap one. I know that 1st May is labor day and China will have 3 days direct holidays during that period (correct me if I am wrong), so thought of reserving the accommodation now itself (within this month or next)

Would like some advice on the same.

My requirement and budget will be:-

a) RM 150 - RM 230 (Lower will be better) per night
b) Near to MRT and shopping places
c) Clean and not too nasty (meaning too "chap" -cantonese)

My friend requirement and budget will be:-

a) RM 110 - RM 180 per night
b) Near to MRT and shopping places
c) Clean

All you guys advise is much sought and appreciated as I need to decide and plan ahead upon getting settled down on accomodation

First of all, thanks for your compliment and support! biggrin.gif

Agreed with what Ami said. The place to watch firework is not at the Castle, 'coz the fireworks is actually displayed at somewhere close to the Castle.. Disneyland want you to watch the fireworks with the Castle as its background ma... Also, it seems that the Castle in HK's Disneyland is not permitted to go inside... sleep.gif"

So as Ami suggested, either to book a table in the Mainstreet Restaurant, or if you've more budget, book a table at Disneyland Hotel, the interior is just too great for a propose 'coz it's very "Antique English" style!

As it's a proposal trip, I think you better book a better place to stay... don't stay at Dragon Hostel la.....  doh.gif Dorsett Seaview is a nice choice, while you can also consider Bridal Teahouse Budget Hotels or The Cityview, both of them are located in Mongkok/Yau Ma Tei area.

Wish you all the best and a successful & sweet proposal!  wub.gif
