Reading this thread brought back so much memories from last year's trip to Hong Kong/Macau, for a good 9 days.
It was horrendously HOT back then, in September, and we came back lighter even though ate like hungry souls.

Here's the complete day by day posts on our journey, complete with the expenses, and various information :

Day One - Arriving in Macau (Largo do Senado, Yishun Milk Company, Rude Macanese)
Day Two – St. Paul’s Ruins, The Venetian, Taipa Village, Margaret’s Portuguese Egg Tarts
Day Three – Arriving in Hong Kong (Mong Kok, Temple Street, Hui Lau Shan Desserts)
Day Four Part 1 – Lantau Island & Kam Wah Cafe’s Polo Bun
Day Four Part 2 – Avenue of Stars & Symphony of Lights
Day Five Part 1 – Dimsum @ Lin Heung Tea House, Central & Golden Bauhinia Square
Day Five Part 2 – Madame Tussauds Wax Museum @ THE PEAK
Day Six Part 1 – A Day’s Out in Ocean Park
Day Six Part 2 – Mong Kok’s Street Food and Red Ant Baked Rice
Day Seven Part 1 – Shopping in Shatin
Day Seven Part 2 – Lan Kwai Fong’s Buzzing Nightlife, Tai Cheong’s Egg Tarts, and Tsim Chai Kee Noodles
Day Eight Part 1 – Last Day in Hong Kong (Soy Milk + You Tiao for Breakfast?)
Day Eight Part 2/Last Day - Goodbye MACAU (DUMBO Portuguese Restaurant, Ruins of St Paul & Largo do Senado at night)

I am tempted to go again, but have to check the weather forecast indefinitely! Never go during summer .....

Just came back yesterday. Weather was okay, with slight rain on a few days. Thankfully, it rained on days when we were in malls.

Shopping-wise; Harbour City is better. Maybe because there's one G2000 outlet there. Citygate is not bad, but Adidas/Nike/Puma's selections were so-so. Ended up buying Timberland shoes, and some other random items.

Esprit's in Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Citygate, and some other places too.

Went all the way to Wharf Road in North Point, but don't waste your time .... the Nike outlet there has practically nothing. Adidas outlet has moved.

G2000 outlet in Mong Kok's Argyle St has moved away. Only in Harbour City. Limited selection, but can still buy coats/jackets from HKD370 onwards, work shirts about HKD99 onwards, pants from about HKD129 onwards.

Oh, SOGO has appreciation sale! MADNESS at the Causeway Bay outlet. JAM-PACKED! But really good sale, even cheaper than outlet stores sometimes. Braun Buffel had up to 50% for bags and 30% for wallets, Adidas/Nike too had discount.

But the craziest part was the cosmetic section. Could not even walk pass ....
