QUOTE(sunnyboy @ Feb 2 2012, 12:49 AM) going HK this coming mid March for 1 week...booked hotel but havent plan well for the itenary..... take the mrt then exit mongkok station.2 nites in charterhouse causewaybay hotel, then go over to macau, 1 nite in hard rock hotel, then back to HK and booked panda hotel 3 nites... if from causewaybay, how to go to find "ding ding travel"? thinkin to visit them on first day, and buy ticket for disney and ocean park.... you can also do like one forumer, ask them goto mongkok station to meet. For this i think u need buy advance from online. Yeap. Get the tourist pass will save a lot for a week.
Another thing can consider is try to schedule and plan ur trips properly can further help save more. Like covering one area per day to minimize transport cost. |

QUOTE(dopp @ Feb 13 2012, 01:28 PM) http://www.smartone.com/jsp/mobile/prices/...icescharges.jspsuppose to be this, but i think they changed it Last time i survey, it was HKD8 per hour but max cap of rm24 per day. Meaning if u paid rm24 u can use for whole day. Best is that this comes with voice also.. but your link of the ipad data plan looks good... for HKD88/250mb but dunno applicable for tourist or not. |

What u guys think about this
Currently, i booked 4d 3n Macao + HK (Arrive Macau, Depart HK). Then only i notice didnt have enough time for Macau + HK. So only going HK. So now with the current AA sale, i wan to buy another one way depart Macau making it 8d 7n total incurred fixed expenses add another rm1380 for 2 pax. (air tix, ferry and 4nites accomodation) Worth it ah? so i can cover Macau and have more time for HK This post has been edited by mugenz: Feb 15 2012, 11:34 AM |

the prob is 4d 3n macau + hk gonna be super rush.. I planned my HK and i didnt even have half a day to spare for Macau so totally scrapped Macau.
Earlier i booked 4d 3n (Sept 11 (what a day to fly lol) to 14th) then only i realised that 16 and 17 sept is public holiday. At first cant take so long off my work. Zzzzzzzzz Basically, if got more days i can add Ocean Park, Stanley and Shatin as well. Then a full 2day 1night Macau food + site visiting. QUOTE(Ami Tsun @ Feb 15 2012, 10:26 PM) So, if you buy another one way ticket to Macau, the first one is considered "burnt" ah? In the end, how much is the total air fare (original + additional) for this trip? this new one way = rm350the old one i departure from HK = rm400++ additional expenses to travel back to macau via ferry 2 ways = rm300 arrival macau = rm300 this is for 2 pax. rm1350 for 2 person. Havent include expenses this and that.. rough estimation would be around 4.5k for 8d 7n excluding personal expenses.. Added on February 16, 2012, 12:57 am QUOTE(samlee860407 @ Feb 15 2012, 10:30 PM) although i find that 8d 7n is a bit too much for HK+ macau, but i still find that what your plan is worth. 4d 3n is seriously too short to most places. Make it a nice long trip, then next time can visit other place i would say no need rush like mad.. my gf got more time to shop. I can slot one evening session for stanley market, stroll around the beach and enjoy the night scenery. One day for Ocean park. A full day disneyland. A full day outlet/warehouse hunting around HK. Go shatin and skip yung kee roast duck (coz near to town but more expensive) so can go "sam tseng" for the yue kee instead lol~~ Added on February 16, 2012, 12:59 am QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Feb 15 2012, 10:51 PM) Not much of gambler, but i can spare sometime for real MAcau visit.. Senado square much nicer to visit during night time..Maybe catch some performance/show in Macau. Have a portugese dinner, instead of spending only a day munching on all the snacks like pork burger, tarts and other snacks. lol This post has been edited by mugenz: Feb 16 2012, 12:59 AM |

QUOTE(Ami Tsun @ Feb 16 2012, 10:36 AM) For myself, HK is never "enough"..lot's of places to visit besides the "standard" tourist attractions. i think we decided not to extend. Here's a crazy idea from me: If you and gf can take few days off before the September trip, say maybe June/July, make a separate trip to HK. Have a look at Cathay Pacific's website, air fare is as low as RM800+ all in for a HK return ticket, per person. Honestly, money wise, additional RM1350 is not that worth (if compare to Cathay Pacific Super Economy Fare). BUT, if you and your gf are happy, then go with your plan, buy the new ticket and extend your stay. with rm1350 i can go some other places. However thanks..
