Well some new CRT also does not support light guns. My Dreamcast gun goes hay-wire went I tested it on my 29' Sony flat Wega CRT. I think it has something to do with the 100HZ refresh rate.

No wonder I cant use my DC light gun as well. Guess I have to move my DC back to my CRT tv instead of my lcd. sweat.gif

Normally they don't put those out for display. How you ask the store keeper ?

"Got any old stuff to throw away ? " smile.gif

Well, the shop displayed a faulty neo geo pocket with this KOF R1 game. & i sorta ask him is this game for sale? (actually i went to the same shop & ask be4 but that guy just answer me. Not for sale). this time it's a different guy & when I ask about the games. he said just a moment. He went inside his store room & begins to dig out something. & he showed me 2 Neo Geo Cup 98 ori (which I already own, the one & it's the only neo geo game i have XD). 1 KOF R1 ori, 1 Samurai showdown bootleg, 1 Fatal Fury bootleg, 1 KOR R1 bootleg & 1 faulty cartridge with neither he or I can identify..lol. He said 10 bucks for the bootlegs ones. I picked these 3 games & he answer me. Hmm, dunno how much 2 sell u for the ori ones. I said how'd bout 20-30? He said ok la, 30...total is 50 I paid then I left. Very happy. After dinner I will continue my hunt at another retro game store. happy.gif

Added on December 10, 2010, 10:13 pmIn fact, that shop still have 1 or 2 stack of PS1 games (but color a bit worn out). The 1st time I went thr i got the same answer. Not for sale. But yesterday I did not ask. Maybe will ask the next time I go.happy.gif

Sharing is caring smile.gif

By the way, I just got in my hand a Micro Genius and Sega Game Gear but without power adapter and was wondering any sifu here have some advice.

On the Micro Genius it is written the input to be 10V 850mA, but I am using a Mega Drive power adapter (10V, 1.2A) which works but afraid if I use it for longer stretches it will burn the machine. cry.gif  Any one has any experience in power consumption of  electronics?

As for the game gear, I don't have 6 AA to spare to test the machine. The machine state it uses a 9V 3W adapter, anyone has a spare or tested using a similar adapter for the game gear ?

Many thanks in advance.

In Ipoh flea market. Comes with Sonic 2 cart smile.gif. But I am not sure how to distinguish between ori and fake game gear carts, still a newbie in game gear, any game gear collectors here ? Haven't seen wonderswan as it was not very popular here. I did saw FF collection last time in Jusco Cheras long long long time ago.
Ipoh flea market eh. How much did u bought it? Well, I just bought the FF collection Wonderswan from superxboy. waiting for shipment.

Wow, a very nice bargain. I used to play the R from a multi game clone cart (borrow from friend). Recently saw a shop selling RM30 for the single game SRW R. But I guess it's a clone cart as well. Might go & buy later. lol

Don't bother with clones lah, your save can go missing anytime
*
ya, I know. Clone depends on luck. Some clones like my SRW J (the only one) save file still thr for a very long time but not so lucky with SRW A, OG, OG2 & the rest of the games for the GBA. Whr can I find the ori ones? Any shop selling? (Parents dun really let me buy online (play-asia, e-bay etc). T_T

Doubt you can find much ori GBA games locally, at least I have given up hope looking for them.

Then I feel even doubtful of the availability of these games. T_T

Back in 2002, I got a GBA for my sister as a gift (of course I played it as well). Looking for ori carts was relatively easy, but the prices are staggering. Starting prices are normally around RM250 at Toys R Us. Heck, I got my PAL Final Fantasy X for only RM229 at the same Toys R Us. Why is a GBA cart more expensive than a PS2 title I'll never know.
*
Wow, when GBA 1st launch (that is the time I got my Silver ver of GBC for getting 1st in my class during form 1..lol). I saw GBA game cart everywhere selling the from 169-229 (depends on tittles). But still, nv came across any JAP games during that time T_T
