Funny, mine isn't.. just stopped working all of a sudden. I need to download apps! :\

Added on October 21, 2010, 11:31 pmSeems like quite a widespread problem since the Market app was updated (Comments are now in a different tab, new icon and some other usability stuff)

Can't wait for the update notification to appear hehe. Nordic countries first, so I think we'll only be getting it around next Weds. Don't forget, their Sunday is close to our Monday already.

Rooted my X10, changed region to Nordic and flashed to 2.1. Leaving it unrooted for now.

Working great so far, only niggle I have is that I can't turn off haptic feedback :S

Although the option has been unchecked I still get feedback whenever I use the keyboard.

Any tips?

Oh yeah, what happened to the auto-brightness setting?

Edit: Okay, sorted everything out, keypress vibrations are in Input settings, and based on XDA-Developers, auto-brightness has been moved to the widget.

Can't find any other issues yet.. so far performance is fantastic, everything is blistering fast! biggrin.gif

Moved to widget, second press (ie medium setting).

Great update, so far I'm quite happy.

3d Photo Gallery only appears in one place eh? Pity. They should've put it in Mediascape, that will turn heads!

I kinda prefer the old SMS LED notification.. this one just flashes extremely quickly every five seconds or so. At least the LED was on longer in 1.6.. but I consider that as a minor niggle smile.gif

Two things I don't like about the new social phonebook:
- Cannot link without the contact renaming itself to its Facebook/Twitter name, whichever is shorter. This is annoying because I have friends who use different names on Twitter, and when I join them under the same contact card they are renamed to the other name.
- Even if I partially sync the Facebook and Twitter apps (to 'existing contacts only') it will still pull the information from other contacts from Facebook (which are not in phone) when you want to add recipients during SMSing.

Also prefer the older add recipient feature in Messaging, gets the job done faster.

Partly regret rooting my 1.6 just to get the FW one day early, but I don't think they'll be able to iron out the bugs tongue.gif

Gosh, the social phonebook sucks. Would've preferred if they kept the old manual linking system but with profile picture pulling.

I don't appreciate that it renames my contacts as it likes - sometimes my contacts get renamed to their FB names, sometimes Twitter names, and in rare occasions, the name I assigned in my phone sticks.

I also can't simply link contacts anymore - they have to be of the same name to be found if I don't fully sync FB and Twitter (via the apps) to my phonebook. Means nicknames as contact displays are out.

try listening to ur music. mine kinda distorted.  kinda twisted. the sound that suppose to be the main goes behinf the sound that suppose to be the backup harmony...something like that.. try listen with ur headphone.

Don't use other handsfree apart from SE to listen to music. It will conflict with the handfree's microphone. Use regular earphone. I have a Shure I2C (iPhone handsfree) and I have the same problem as you. No problem with my old SE HPM-70 + cord extender (take out the fastport portion).

QUOTE(rayzrblade @ Nov 3 2010, 04:03 PM)
u sure? i reinstall again.
everything same
damn...
live wallpaper jerky..
scrolling lags
everything slow..

Don't keep on reinstalling, let it settle. It will be like that for the first hour as the phone adjusts to the new software.

___

Very happy with the firmware's battery life boost. Today I tested under 'real-world' circumstances (ie how I always use my phone), usually by now it'll be about 50%, but today 77% rclxms.gif

So far only things I have issues with are social phonebook and the new LED notification (shorter blink after receiving SMS, no shutoff after finish charging - shorten LED lifespan). In-call volume is as crappy as ever but that has always been an issue.

Despite all the eye candy (the transitions and animations are really beautiful, my friends were gasping when I showed them) the phone is still very fast.

Kudos SE! Now please fix the problems I mentioned earlier and IN-CALL VOLUME PLEASE. I got a call in a noisy area today and I could barely hear anything.

Encountered something funny these past two days.

When I'm charging my phone, the charge would go up to 80%, drop to about 60%, go back up to about 70%, and drop back down! I just unplug and plug the charger back on and it will charge up to 100%.

Anyone else experiencing this?
