price maybe an indicator. e3100 is very cheap in price and e series is not meant for serious sound, it is more toward style and fashion. E = Exotic. Or maybe your expectation is too high.

i don't think R1900T3 is a monitor speaker, they are not that accurate. And i don't think Edifier have ever built a monitor speaker.

QUOTE(power911 @ Oct 15 2010, 09:20 AM) when you stated monitor speakers, i was thinking about speaker that face the band or artist in front of stage when they perform live. Not to mention R1900T3 isn't possible to be graded as studio monitor speaker too. So, R1900T3 is neither monitor speaker nor studio monitor. |

no the PA is facing the audience, monitor speaker is usually at the floor in front of stage facing upward angle toward the performer.

QUOTE(yanhui95 @ Nov 3 2010, 04:27 PM) i recommend you this:http://news.cnet.com/8301-13645_3-20005175-47.html http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=300-652 Bookshelf speaker for around RM200. Furthermore, it is Dayton. Better than most of Edifier M Series. This post has been edited by Angel of Deth: Nov 3 2010, 05:05 PM |

Unfortunately it is not available officially in Malaysia. So you must get it from online retailer such as Amazon, though i don't know if some people here can get it for you because if i'm not mistaken there are some people here are using Dayton Audio speaker. And this speaker is not self-powered so it required and amp. So the total cost might have exceed your budget. So i think you better stick to Edifier for your budget if you really need new speaker right now..

Edifier M1350 is one of the worst PC speaker that i have ever listen to. It sound very2 muddy. For RM150 better you save up more to get more decent PC Speaker. At least RM400 for Edifier C3 or S330 although i recommend you to try Aego M. For RM150 all you can get it muddy sounding speaker with muddled bass and not properly crossover.

QUOTE(gooni3 @ Nov 26 2010, 03:22 PM) hi guys, i am totally new in this area and i would like to set up a sound system for my room.. mainly at night for listening to soft music, preferably surrounding the whole room and put at the ceiling.. might need some drilling to hide the wires His budget is RM3k and you recommend him an Edifier RM400 - RM700 speaker? budget around 2-3k Edit ; will wireless be a better option? and will it affect the sound quality? (how to provide power to the speakers then?) i'm open to all options including just having little speakers around my room. main thing is i need a fairly decent system to listen to music for relaxing/sleep @gooni3 first, what source did you use to play music? CD player? DVD? PC?Laptop? |

I play my music from my PC. I use USB sound card paired with my studio monitor using 1/4 TRS connection. I can't suggest you other equipment to play music other than PC since i'm not very familiar with other setting. But i can tell you with RM3k you can get a very good setup such as bookshelf speaker or studio monitor.

QUOTE(will92 @ Dec 29 2010, 01:27 AM) good examples Acoustic Energy are well known and established in audio industry than the other brand that you mentioned. I'm sure it will sound better than the other two brands but you still has to audit it by yourself.but in my opinion, edifier s530d sq's win T3, but T3 has good bass for most of the bass-head out there~ pretty curious about aego M on hows the satellite sounds~ still no chance to audit it Added on December 29, 2010, 1:29 am really?~ then will my bed-side fx3022 sounds better if mod it? it sounds really bassy~ |

QUOTE(will92 @ Dec 29 2010, 01:33 AM) i think edifier s530d is ok for general usage~ What is your purpose anyway since you have your s530d? Do you plan to get another speaker?i tried razer mako once, it seems quite nice, the mids are clear, but i felt that T3 sounded more bassy than razer mako~ for aego m, still no chance to audit Added on December 29, 2010, 1:37 am yea~ its a uk based hi-fi company hope i wont regret on my s530d after audited aego m ~~ |

QUOTE(sigheart @ Apr 16 2011, 08:12 PM) Need some help guys, looking to get a new set of speakers after being served by my VS4121 for 6 years or so. Currently looking at a few choices around the 200 - 300 ish range. T20 is probably the best among that list.Picked out the Altec Lansing VS4621, Edifier M3300SF, Edifier HCS2330 and Creative Gigaworks T20. Would just like to know the best choice for my everyday gaming, music and sometimes movies + anime. I need some feedback as I'll most probably be buying from fellow forummers here in LYN so testing is out of the question. I'm not very fussy when it comes to sound. As long as the sound quality is decent then I'm fine with it. I'm currently leaning towards the T20 though... Thanks in advanced fellas! |
